Cant choose

I have the opportunity of purchasing a 1985 Slantnose or a 1979 930. Both are red. Both have history from new. WOW!

Slantnose is a Euro car with extensive engine work and is in overall nice shape. $40K is the asking and has 80K miles.

The 930 regular body style has 45K miles and some engine work. This one looks perfect and only two owners. Its a lot less money.

Actually, looking at the pictures again, I think I know.

I'm a huge 930 lover and envy your predicament. I must admit that I've never been a big fan of the slant nose. So this one would be a no-brainer for me. But even for a rational and unbiased thinker, there's nothing like low miles (assuming good care) for one of these beauties.
You know what to do...
GL and tell us about it when it arrives.

I would buy the 79, I'm not a slantnose or Euro car fan, both cars would be a good choice.

I would get the '79 also. I am partial because I own one (a 930, its an '89) but I was born in '79 so that would be cool to own a car that was born in the same year.

The '79 will have the killer floating front rotors. Only 2 years got'em that's why i bought a '78. Just did a complete brake overhaul. So fine. Jp

while i love the regular eyes of a 911-930 and for some reason find the slant noise strange looking i tend to lust for a slant. I think my opinion is based up one the face that they are kinda of ugly, you never see one... and when you do it peggs that cool factor even if its just for a min..

Slant vs. 930

No question in my mind, the 930. Fan of both, but more 930. Mileage also figures into this equation and 930 is just broken in. Last, slant is Euro version...try to stay US for emissions reasons and history tracking purposes
