Tree Hugging Turbo S!!!
Tree Hugging Turbo S!!!
My 89 turbo S suffered damage from a tree limb last week!
It went right thru the sunroof. It also cracked the windshield along with making some other dents & dings!!! With track season only a couple months away, I'm devastated!!! The insurance adjuster just left today & thinks it may be fixable. I'll try to load some pics later!!!

sad news, you should compile all of your records into a binder and show that to the adjuster to prove value beyond bluebook.
my 89 was rear-ended recently and insurance paid for the repair, which totalled over $13k because my car was appraised at over $25k due to meticulous records.

i'd call again tomorrow, and the day after, etc. etc. until it 'comes in'.
i'd also send them numerous 'for sale' ads to prove market value, as well as maintenance documents, etc. to shore up value.

Heard from the adjuster, they came with a bogus repair of only $3.5k to fix the roof & other damages to the car. I'm almost positive it's going to be 3x that much to fix my car. So I'm shopping around for a really good shop to do the so called repairs! I'll keep you guys posted!
it's good they gave you the repair 'okay'. now all you have to do, as you said, is find a top notch body shop and drop the car off there. then have the shop bill insurance directly.
insurance will always quote a lowball initial price, so if you decide to keep the check and not repair the car, they won't lose much.
