So I go to the grocery store today and find...
So today I was in need of some consumable materials so took a trip down to the local BX store on base here. For the ones who hate to look at location in the upper right hand corner I am in Japan. That will come in handy later for some might be confused.
So at the BX of lovely Misawa AB Japan I stood pondering which shampoo I shall buy for my lovely hair. I grabbed some good stuff. With the best ingredients of course.
Checked out and decided I was going to hop onto my BMX bike and do some adventuring around town. (Mostly at a German car dealership right off base)
So I continued on my path passing by my all time favorite motorcycle in which I should own very very soon. ZX-10R 04-05 model. Gorgeous.
After drooling all over that thing I kept it moving. Arriving at the dealership I first notice. The Ferrari 348 GTB that's been sitting there for ages for just under 50k, Tip Boxster, 996 Turbo next to the 348, a very most awesome NSX I have ever seen. This thing looked straight out of a magazine of tuners. It looked like a pure true track car. The size of the rear diffuser was ridiculous, the exhaust tips were pure titanium, the lip was carbon fiber, the wing was carbon fiber, the seats were recaro. This car was stunning. Almost lost composure here but wait. What's that in corner with the huge wing?
964 style... HM. The wing says 3.8 RS. But what's next to it. Another 964 RS. Now. To break it down into simpler terms. I was standing next to a 964 RS touring, and the RS Competition. To start the RS Touring ran some 225 rear bridestones, and had Porsche standard leather seats found in nearly all 911's, standard guages, tip tronic RS model also. They had it for sale for 27,800 basically. Had like 25-30k miles or 58,000km. Very low miles. MY1992. Stunning car.
Now at this point I was guaging the differences of the cars and they are two totally different cars. The RS competition has Recaro seats, manual trans, front air dams, the brakes were larger, Comp. sat lower, the Comp had much larger rear tires, different front bumper, the exhaust was different on the comp, and also the wheels were different. Also the guages were slightly rotated on the Comp. Looked really sick. Like a true 917 racecar style gauges.
I was amazed. And best of all no pics of anything
. Except the 348 GTB which is a much older pic sitting next to a 996 Carrera. But for the non believers I can provide proof. Just give me a day or two.
