Champion Motorsport 991 Turbo S Development Car
You are spot on it is a piggy back ..but isn't this a better way as you can unplug it for Porsche servicing..so not detectable
Techart has been releasing piggybacks for previous platforms, I'd double check to make sure that isn't the case. That is a far cry from an ECU flash.

I agree that piggies are not best but Austin doesn't the ecu look commanded versus actual AFR and trim from there? Also I would imagine that piggies don't play with closed loop trims nor would would it play with KR tables. I would assume that ecu commands certain KPA and will modulate DC until desired is achieved.this is the area were they use resistors and ect...
Am I right on these accounts?

OK ill give you that but didnt Champion give us a "reach around" and tease us on how great they and GIAC are coming along on the software? Wanna me to post up their own words?
Actually now that you pissed me off here..
"so we could begin the first stage of ECU programming with our partners at GIAC"
They probably melted a piston! LOL

I'm not quite sure what you're so pissed off about. We've tried to keep everyone updated as often as possible. If you're upset that we're trying to deliver the most thoroughly tested and reliable software upgrade for the 991 Turbo, then I do apologize but you better just unsubscribe from this thread because you're not going to be happy... LOL
Actually, we have several test cars running and driving with the software both here in Florida and on the West Coast at GIAC in California. If you're in Florida, why don't you stop by and take a ride in it?

I did not direct my "pissed off" at you. Please go back and read. My issue with this thread was based on your posts. i would have expected some sort of hard numbers. I get it, vendors are in the biz of teasing us to promote your product and generate interest but come on give up some details!

No, not at all. In fact, I was driving our Turbo S flashed with the GIAC performance software all weekend. It was flawless, and FAST!!
We'll be releasing the software VERY VERY soon!
