We're already working with Champion Motorsport, but haven't released anything yet. There might be companies working on some sort of piggyback system, but you'll want a true flash to take full potential of what the car has to offer.

Austin what are you expecting HP# wise? Past tunes have netted what kind of trap speed increase along with ET?

Thanks

We've seen as high as 135mph in positive Density Altitude on the 997.2 TT with basic bolt ons:

Exact specs were:

CMS/GIAC software
Tubi Race exhaust
Werks1 Y-Pipe & Airbox
Champion Intercoolers
IPD plenum
A pair of drag radials on the rear wheels
The car also had a full interior. NO weight reduction

You can already see in their thread that Champion has ripped into their pair of 991TTs and has already started the hardware creation process.

In terms of HP figures, I'm afraid I can't release any of that until we're ready to release the software calibration.

Am I correct in stating that there will be far more gains in a flash for the base Turbo compared to the S considering the S power delta is a result of a more aggressive factory tune?
S.

There's a lot of options out there with the 997.2's but only one (that I'm aware of) that also provides a warranty on top of Porsche's warranty in the event that Porsche denies a claim from your mods - Champion/GIAC. So if you want this kind of assurance, then maybe you want to wait for their 991 tune to be released.

thanks Austin,
Couple of questions if you don't mind. Does the the 991 and the 997.2 even run a MAF? If ECU use MAF does it also use coefficients to predict the fueling? When tuning these 997.2 what is the max mass air flow HZ? What is the max g/sec that can be commanded? What kinda of KPA/PSI does the see 997.2 and the 991S run in stock form and what #s w/93 and MS109 tunes? I assume that these cars run in closed loop in power enrichment? Do you set commanded AFR and STFT and LTFT will trim according?

sorry for all the questions!

991 TTS Exhaust Almost Here!

WheelB,
The folks at AWE are fast at work designing and building an exhaust. They took my car a couple of weeks ago to CAD scan the exhaust, intakes, etc.. so they could start their incredibly thorough process. Their car still hasn't arrived, they ordered a custom color, which has delayed delivery, but they wanted to get going since demand is already picking up for mods.

I've used them on my 996 and 997 cars and their product is well built, their service is top notch and the mods are incredibly reliable. Totally drivable and produce great power gains.

It should be a couple more weeks for the exhaust then other mods will follow. You should check them out www.awe-tuning.com Given what I've experienced in the past, I can't wait to hear and feel my car with their exhaust.

Pic of them scanning the car so they know exactly how much room they have for their novel designs.

I have the prototype system that they built on my 991 Turbo S now, and all i have to say is WOW. It sounds incredible, it sounds very finely tuned compared to the GMG I had previously on there. The GMG sounded amazing as well - and even though this is not as loud as the GMG, it sounds much more refined.

That mated to the GIAC Software (also in BETA) that i have on the car - Its a completely different beast. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions at all

That's good to know as GMG was on my radar. Looking for an exhaust that's tight and responsive in sound; not how loud it is. I'll wait for AWE

It doesn't happen to have an open-close valve condition like my 458?
