Guards Red 991 Turbo S (slightly pic heavy)
Hello everyone,
I've been a lurker here and I've registered recently after taking delivery of this 991 Turbo S and wanted it to share it with you guys, ordered in Guards Red and I couldn't be happier with the order.
As for my experience with the car, It's the first Porsche I ever own/drive, coming from a V6 BMW x6 I gotta say the car is super quick, handles really well and drives much nicer than the x6 I had.
I heard Porsches don't usually sound great and I was ready to accept that fact til I got her and I think it sounds amazing, it's sort of a thrust/jet-like sound the whole time you're driving, and the PDK's shifts are really good, I love that split moment when it changes gears you get a sound pitch difference.
The car is still under engine run-in so I haven't been able to floor it just yet, but I can't wait!
Now I have a small question, I'm not sure if you can do this but is it possible to drive the car at night with all exterior lights on? (Daytime + Headlights + LEDs) at the same time?
-Hamad
P.S.: I apologize for the pics being massive.

Depends on the race parameters... from a dig you win but a roll with that true rear wheel hp and no AWD parasitic loss should give the Shelby the advantage.

You will love it , i have a TTS too .
For the guys outside the USA , what are you doing with the engine break-in period ? the manual doesnt specify any mileage , i am at 2000 kms today and thinking about letting it rip.

Not sure about other places but the manual I got specified 3000KMs break-in period for "optimum peformance"
I'll come back to you guys with results if I try out against the shelby.
Little out of topic question, when I removed the stickers/covers off the car, it produced some swirl marks/scratches on the body, I'm gonna go wrap it with Xpel Ultimate on the 9th, but any idea how can I get rid of those swirls/scratches first? Will polishing/waxing get the job done? I heard it'll just make it worse.
