Surprised to hear that once an order is placed for a Spider, its delivered within 3 months - I thought that it was going to be a year at least.......

Cheers,
Wow, where is that? Here in Atlanta they are saying deposit to delivery time is around 18 months still...

I am currently contemplating a TTS coupe vs. a 458 Italia and while the Italia starts at $240K I quickly piled in options to reach a $315K price tag (this does not even include some of the even pricier options like carbon fiber in the engine bay, outside of the car, special paint or two-tone car, etc.). Ferraris will probably be MUCH more expensive once you option the car the way you want...

100% It really depends how many of the options you need, or want.. people don't tend to stick with a base 458 however..

We have a 2012 458 white with factory black top... original MSRP was about $230,000.... after options....................................... almost $360,000 it can get crazy quick... but if you dont have to have EVERY option, they can be reasonable...

...and that $360k is for a coupe.... not a spider..MONSTER window sticker.... Oh and that price came with.. standard seats... guess they didnt want to spend the money for the sport seats

ROFL, I don't pay such close attention to avatar pics. I thought it looked like lord Voldemort from Harry potter. But on further inspection it does look like bronchi.

"reasonable" from a guy that sells Ferrari's...just might be a wee bit bias you think?

It's all relative, right?

If no one thought the prices of Ferrari's were reasonable, we wouldnt be in buisiness... Reasonable meaning if you dont HAVE to max out options the price tag isnt going to be as astronomical as an absolutely loaded one.. We have several 458's for ~$230k .. the white one that is optioned out is ~$315.. at that point $230k seems reasonable.. I suppose it is relative when your talking about spending $200,000 on a vehicle.

Turbo s is cooler becuz it's not too show off like 458, plus it's top of the line porsche and 458 is not, there's f12 and la ferrari.

It's not the top of the line Porsche. You forgot the 918. Also I think only the la Ferrari is above the 458.

My 458 is free for maintenance. Service is included with purchase of vehicle. My 430 costs me just a oil change/filter once a year. I don't put a lot of miles on the 430 so it doesn't require a lot of maintenance, I.e. F1/brake fluids, air filters, etc. If you can afford a turbo s or a 458 maintenance costs shouldn't be the deciding factor on which car to buy. Would be like worrying about how many miles per gallon the car gets lol At the end of the day get the car YOU want. Both cars are amazing and are fast as hell. As a owner of both, if I had to pick one to own, it would be the 458. But that's just personal preference. You'll love whatever car you pick! You can't go wrong, enjoy!

The turbo s which is not in the exotic car category is in it's own super car class with potential for more power. 458 for example is a sweet car but has much more competition in exotic world such as Aventador, Mclaren mp4,LP570 or Lp670,upcoming Huracan,F12,LaFerrari,Enzo,F40/50, Bugatti,Koenigsegg etc...

I think the comparisons are a bit off... the 458 is a V8 Ferrari, whereas the FF, F12, and LaFerrari are all V12 Ferraris. Typically different kind of customers for different kind of car. By the same token the Huracan is the V10 Lambo that competes with the 458 whereas the Aventador is the V12 Lambo that competes with the F12 Ferrari. McLaren MP4-12C competes with 458, etc.

The 991 Turbo S is an amazing car that does so many things well it's ridiculous. The only thing I think most would "complain" about is its similarity to the almost infinite 911 variants and the general feeling that 911s aren't "exotic". But to each their own... No one can knock any 911 for not being a great car!

Your choice

I have had the super model---Lambo Murci--for 3 years. Awesome car--but what a pain where ever you go!! EVERYONE approaches you and wants to talk and take pictures!! The novelty wears off after while--it becomes a pain in the neck all the people it attracts!!! However--if you like that---then go for the 458 or the Lambo!

I ordered a Turbo S and get it Monday!!! I wanted a super fast car with world class technology but without the gawkers and hanger-ons!!!! I wanted a relatively low profile car that will knock your socks off performance wise---and the 2014 911 Turbo S in Guards Red should be the ticket!!! It's all about choice!
