If the functionality of the aero package improves upon the active system on the turbo then that may be an advantage, but the practicality and functionality of the active system are fine for me. Unless one is tracking one's turbo and expects to have sustained high speed track intervals, the active system is fine--maybe even better. If one is concerned about appearance and is willing to tolerate the impracticality of low frontal clearance, then go for it. Porsche engineers designed the turbo with active aerodynamics for a very good reason IMHO. If I were in Porsche marketing I can understand the appeal of a fixed aero package. Its profit margin must be in the 80% range.

This is a better photo. At the moment, no pricing yet as a retrofit.

I concur. It also seems a bit steep, even by Porsche standards for what amounts to a chin spoiler and a fixed (read less mechanically complex) rear wing.

Are the black vents on the engine deck lid optional? Never seen them black.

Good eye! I didn't even notice. My guess is yes since the yellow car doesn't have the black vents. Just speculation though.
