It's way different than the M5. I had a corvette when I was in college and it certainly drives and feels like the vette did from how close to the road it is and how you can really feel the road. I love it so far, I have to get used to a real sports car which the M5 isn't.

A 600 mile turbo S just sold on eliteautos for 170k down from 196k.

I would most definitely buy used over new for a turbo S.

600 miles new on lot or 600 miles used? Great deal if new on lot.

I cant believe how far under Sticker the 14's are going. Did Porsche overprice them?

Porsche over priced everything. And that is why these cars are so cheap used with hardly any miles.

No used. Does it really matter? First owner, 2nd owner, car has 600 miles lol. Doesn't matter how many people were behind the wheel of those 600 miles. If it was 600 miles new on lot that means like 20 people beat on the car, rather than one old guy driving it like a grandma for 600 and not wanting it.

Consider that a '14 is one year old. Should be 20% less than sticker. The cars should be a lot cheaper than they are. A used '14 is not a good value right now.

Agreed, though I'd say from a dealer if you get 15% under you're in good shape, private party definitely 20%.

I was really implying that's the way they should be priced in a rational market. Seems to be a supply demand imbalance at the moment. Just because they should be cheaper doesn't mean they are! I see most '14 turbos listed about $10k less than original sticker, which is insane. But that's what people seem to be paying. (Or some price reasonably negotiated less).

Those are the ones that are not a good value. Some are going for good discounts. The red TT at Autobahn earlier this summer was MSRP 185, had 1600 miles and started out at 159,900. It just sat there for almost a month before it was sold. I don't know why it sat and so did the one I bought. I think the ones that are selling near MSRP are optioned the way people want them? I have no idea, car buyers are fickle.

lol. I'm just using that because one time when I went to check out the new viper, I saw a used one on the lot. I asked the sales guy why it was returned with 1200 miles. He said the owner was very old and said it was too much car for him to handle. I could see this happening with a turbo/turbo S as well.

Though where I think they did a great job is with the cayman and boxster GTS. They added all the extra stuff and didn't charge much extra for it. That's how it should be.

They take advantage of their economics of scale to do price gouging rather than pricing competitively.

No reserve @150k. 1,600 miles. Anyone see any red flags on this one?

The pictures are terrible. The guy touts 100% ebay feedback, but has sold nothing in this price range that i saw per history. So many x factors with ebay. Issues that could be there are accident repair outside of insurance with generic parts. If I was interested, Id have that car at a porsche specialty shop for inspection and would get a contract with the seller that allowed for escrow pending inspection.
