Anyone know the exact story with launch turbos? Are the priced and marked up less? I see many launch vehicles on eBay and other sites not sure if I should get a better deal or have concerns over this. I seen some older posts but not sure how it works for the new 991.

 

A Launch Vehicle is a car ordered and optioned out by the Porsche Dealer. As they are Launch Vehicles, they are among the first in the country. The purpose of a Launch Vehicle is for test drives. The Dealer has the option of using the vehicle for that purpose, or they can sell it new if they want. The value should be the same and should not affect value either way, outside of any miles on the car or whatever discount a dealer demo would get.

My TTS is a Launch Vehicle, and I bought it new from my Dealer before it was delivered. It was optioned by the dealer almost the same way I would have ordered it. Otherwise I would have waited months to get one.

It's nice to get it new. In my case the car has over 4k miles. Honestly it looked a bit beat up so I passed.

 

Only buy what you are comfortable with. I put a deposit on mine before it was shipped over from Germany.
