It might be better to first visit your bank for their terms and a pre-approval. Porsche Financial might not have a better rate. Since you mentioned leasing to later buy the car, try to find an indie leasing company to compare the bottom line and let them buy the car.

I did a 2 week trip in the TT from South Florida to DC, Summit Point and the Delaware beaches with the wife and a 20 lb dog and we were all comfortable. I got luggage that was made for the frunk and the rear area and even had room for hang-up clothes.

Just traded my CL63 for a TT and never looked back. Car is a great daily driver and I plan to put on winter tires as I did with my CL. I was concerned about ride harshness but the TT rides so smooth for a performance car. I have no regrets. Much better ride than my wife's CLS 63 which IMHO rides like crap.

Is the TT more comfy than the CLIQ?

The New S63 or s65 amg 4matic coupe looks very good inside-out . The interior is amazing , just like rrolls royce and the torque is insane . It can be remaped for an additional 120hp and the price is very similar to 991 turbo S , which after I saw in real life , sorry but it just doest look like a 190K car!!! Period

The RS7 also is a very nice car , 580 hp and dual clutch Stronic with quatro system. Apr stage 2 ecu can deliver 780 hp .

BMW m4 - cheap and fun to drive

Ferrari California T - first twin turbo ferrari

Testdrive them all and decide

The CL63 has the most compliant ride of any hi performance luxury coupe so it's hard to compare it directly to the TT. The TT is much more firmer but not harsh. If you are coming from a luxury coupe/sedan looking for a more sporty daily driver u won't be disappointed by the TT. Its firm but very forgiving. Something u can't say about most other sports cars-458, MP-12, etc.

I just went through the same scenario and ended up with the below. Not sure why this "sedan" hasn't been mentioned in a Porsche forum! Haven't regretted it for a minute. 3 weeks old...

Exactly, none of The Other Cars mentioned here come Even close To the sportscar feel as a Panamera Turbo S. It is faster than a 997.1 turbo in a straight line and almost as quick on a track. The 991 TTS is faster for sure, but mainly I am thinking of trading the PTT powerkit for it as I have had the Car for 3 years and am looking for Something different again. PTTS With its adjustable ride height is a better Winter Car as the engine in the back can cause the 911 To be a little unforgiving Even With Winter tires. My experience is based on 997tt though.

KIP, I came from a 991 4S with Sport Chrono, PDCC, PDK, the works. Prior to that, I had a 997 Carrera GTS. Just felt like I needed a change and to keep up with the feeling of a 911, felt like I needed the fastest and best handling sedan I could find, aka the Pan TTS. So far, the PTTS is "sneaky" fast. You don't necessarily feel speed like you do in a 911 but when you check the speedometer, you're moving!! Handling in and around corners is amazing. The luxurious feel of the car is unparalleled in the Porsche lineup. From a pure speed perspective, the 991 TTS is unmatched. For basically the same MSRP b/w the two cars, I couldn't even come close to the deal I got on my PTTS vs a 991 TTS. No regrets so far...

I have been also very happy with my Panamera also after a first year of frequent visting the repair shop to do all the recalls, but now it has been bullitproof also. It is by far the most sportscarlike 4 door out there. That's why I was surprised that people are talking about luxury limos like S8 and S 63 AMG's. They are fast sedans, but that's it. The Ferrari California IMO is for the ladies and a M4 for the young. The only subtitute for the 911 is the Panamera.

But then again, I just feel I am mostly driving myself and we have a SUV, so we take that wherever we go as a family, as the X5 M50d is plenty quick for that. The 991 TTS would take less space in the garage and the mornings that I would have to take the kids to daycare, they are fine in the back as it now has ISOFIX latch in the back, that was not available in the 997TT. What I didnt like about the 991 was the fact that the interior is very similar to the Panamera, would I even get the new car feel? It is also a huge leap moneywise again. Then there is the fact that am I getting too comfortable with age, will the 991 be too uncomfortable for me? I am also wondering will the next Turbo S be a hybrid, I am into that kind of technology after driving a few hybrids.

AARGH, desicions, desicions... but the good kind anyway

Your car is also very nice BTW.

Like you, I am almost always driving by myself despite having 4 young boys! To make my decision easier, I would NOT test drive the 991 TTS for fear of never turning back. Ended up with the more "practical" car whether I need it or not. I'm sure I'll be looking to trade in a year or 2 per my usual. For what, I have no idea...

To be honest, I never considered a 991tt, since I'm keeping my 996tt until the wheels falls off lol. My vote goes to the Maserati GT. I fell in love with this car about a year ago, due to its incredible sound, styling and opulence. There really is nothing else like it our there.

I wound up looking at Gallardos, but something drew me to the Fcar dealership where I ran into my future.

Sure, the 991TT is way faster (as is my 13 year old 600hp 996tt), but neither car comes close to the driving experience of the GT. Its a very lively ride, certainly no track car, but if you're looking for a thrilling experience and DONT need to do 0-60 in 2.5 sec, I think it deserves a long look. It has plenty of room inside for 4 and its level of trim and lux is Bentley class for 1/2 the price.

The downside is that it really ruins the enjoyment of most cars. Porsche, audi, MB bmw interiors all feel like the high price VW clones that they are. Then there's the sound....oh that sound.

Turbos are whisper quiet and lack any real emotion (even with a 100 cell exhaust). Even a GT3 while louder and more visceral, sounds pretty lame and broken in comparison. IMO the GT sounds better than most Fcars and lambs too. Its that bass rumble and the burbling V8. I'm not sure exactly how they do it, but I find myself driving in a style to extract specific sounds from the car.

Maybe I'm getting old, but Ive been running around at triple digit speeds so long that its simply not entertaining any more. I get zero excitement from wannabe track racing on the street. If I want to race, I'll take it to the track. These days, I drop the top and leave the GT in sport and accelerate in high gears just to hear that beast roar....then drop it down 3 gears and wind it out to RL, then back again...9mpg never felt so good (and slow lol)
check it out.

Actually you are right that the Maserati gives emotions, but for me sound is not enough. I also once considered the Gt, but my colleague in Germany test drove one on the Autobahn at +200km and the hood wobbled. The dealer had said upon asking about it, are you crazy, these cars should be driven in the city center, not +200 on the Autobahn. Funny story, but he bought a Bmw and I never looked at Masér again.
