Oh $@$#%@

GIAC released its stage 2....from what i'm told aftermarket exhaust needed and hopefully the plenum replacement. Seat of the pants says Thank you very much and car seems much more responsive. I will throw down some launch controls and see how the car feels tomorrow but the little jog i had home had the car feeling much more responsive.

europipe
ipd plenum
giac stage 2

be interesting to hear REAL numbers others are dyno'ng and what others with similar set ups to my turbo S.

BTW im primarily running 100 octane as close to home i can buy race 100 octane at 6.99/gallon. seems a bargain for that much more power for the fun car..

Gah. We only get 91 octane pi$$w@ter out here in NM. I wonder if it's worth it all with street gas.

I was planning on a full length exhaust so this is great news. My car will also be on a lift for the first few weeks it is home while the wheels get refinished. That would be a perfect time to attempt the plenum install as well! Vivid racing fabbed up some charge pipes as well that they plan to market.

disden is infamous around these parts
Just out of curiosity, how much performance difference is gained by making these modifications? Obviously the exhaust is louder, so that's actually noticeable. But do these other mods really make an appreciable difference? Thanks.

I have not yet taken the car to the dyno. All i can say is that the car is much more responsive, more "peppy", seems to pull harder than stock and less "lag"

I have a friend with a 458 italia stock and from a dig i left him 10-15 car lengths...from a 50mph roll i jogged away from him with him falling further behind upwards of 125-130 until i let off the throttle.

Car feels 20-25% faster than stock from the seat of the pants meter.

The AWE Tuning Porsche 991 Turbo and Turbo S Performance Exhaust System will unlock 20hp and 20 ft-lbs of torque with OE or AWE Quad Tips. Even more with the RSR Style Tips.
