Extended Warranty....
Extended Warranty....
The dealer is offering an extended warranty of an additional 72 months / 60K miles for $4639.00 with $100.00 deductible...
Bank that is tied in with my company is offering extended warranty (bumper to bumper) of 72 mth / 100K miles for $2819.00 with an $250 deductible...
or 84mo/125K mile $5530.00 with $250 ded....
The bank warranty is transferable to a new owner if I sale the car... I assume the same goes for the dealers...
My 2015 Turbo S will arrive at dealer next week....
Just curious on the opinion of others on yes or no for extended warranties...
Thanks,

There is no need to buy it at time of purchase. You can always purchase a new car warranty as long as you buy it before your factory warranty expires.
If you are going to purchase it at some point, always stick with the factory product. Many times, aftermarket warranties do not cover as much and many dealers will ask you to pay up front and have you get reimbursed from your warranty company.

See if the dealer will match the price of the bank. Most of the dealer warranties are just marked up bank warranties anyway. Those things are high profit margin and like anything else, subject to negotiation.

Who's underwriting the policies mentioned above? I'm not a big fan of now-OEM warranties, but I don't think Porsche offers any extended warranties.
Having said all that, I would entertain purchasing some warranty on our new Turbo S.

The current mileage should not affect the price of extending your factory warranty.

In my case, I was offered a discount off the normal factory extended purchase price when I bought the car, so if you definitely know you will keep it to that point, then it may be a good idea. I don't know if I will keep it that long, so I did not purchase at the time. But if I want to add it before the factory warranty is up, I can, but at a slightly higher price.
Hello.
Can you please who's policies these are?
Alliant bank... I have not read the details on either of these two offers for extended warranties except what I wrote on the initial post...
I was just wondering what others are doing... I sure it would help in the resale but no way to really know if I would get my money out of it if not...
