On a snowmobile you have a choice to put the ministries ugly plate riveted on the chassis or create your own and place accordingly. Why can't we do that. Just sayin..

For your radar diffusers, I suspect that is ALP, why did you decide to place them there, as opposed to the air inlets. I'm planning to get mine installed in couple of weeks, and not sure best position.

Thanks very much.
I also have AL Priority and my mod shop, Detailing Dynamics, also placed them on the front and not in the air inlets. They believe that they were more effective there as cops love to target the front plate with their lasers.

Only a guess, but I doubt that MA LEO's know the law on front plates in other states. It is clear however, that home state LEO's are likely to issue citations for those not in compliance. As I said, I just want to avoid problems. I have other makes that I used only the rear plate, but Porsche's seem to invite attention even when observing all traffic/driving laws. FWIW, my Pan GTS seems to attract such attention more than the TTS.

Makes perfect sense. Thank you.

I agree. Not worth the hassle. I parked my daily driver, a Cayenne. on the street and got ticketed for a front dirty front license plate. It went through about 2 snowstorms and just didn't was I for about a month. I don't mind paying the fine, just don't want to get any points.

The Skene Design plate holder attaches to the underside of the bumper so although a hole is created, you can't see it. The bracket that is attached is easily removed. I'm away from my car so unfortunately I can't take a picture of it but there are many on the Skene Design website. I've had them on several cars and they work great.

My shop advised to put the ALP sensors here just as others have said - LEO in MA tend to target the front plate.

Also ALP can work as an additional parking sensor. You can turn that feature off or adjust the distance at which it alarms. I set it to go off when the OEM one turns red to have an additional layer of idiot proofing.

For the Skene, did you buy the shortest version they sell? It looks great on your car, especially, the way you mounted it. Plus angle can have laser pointing down, if pointed at the plate.

Great info about ALP too, I didn't know about the parking sensor addition. Yes, it makes it more foolproof as the red camera can be deceiving. I like idiot proofing too.

Many thanks!

I got the short version (not extra short). They have a tool on the website that specifies for each car, which one to buy. It's pretty detailed: a 991 911S is different than a 991 911 TT or TTS.

I didn't think about the laser issue but you are right. I have it slightly downward as pictured to keep it away from the bumper. I put a felt strip on the back of the plate so even if it pushes backward it won't scratch the bumper.
