Rear spoiler only button?

It would be nice to have a rear spoiler only button!
Anybody do this yet?

Agreed. Would love to raise the rear spoiler without deploying the front. Around the potholed and very uneven roads of NYC the front one wouldn't last very long if it were deployed.

The front spoiler is an expensive and useless frill. A fixed spoiler that could be replaced for $250 when destroyed would make more sense. A spoiler that deploys with an air pump and costs $5000 to replace is just annoying, especially since I have had to have mine replaced due to running over road debris. My car has been in the shop for six weeks and has cost $29,000 to repair because I was forced to take the lesser of two evils due to construction debris spread completely across US 290. I avoided the boards with nails sticking up all the way across and instead moved to the right lane and ran over something like a 4x6 structural column which ripped the front lip off, pushed in the frunk, crushed my headers, scraped the oil pan and damaged a turbo. I also nearly lost control of the car at about 70 mph. It was supposed to be done today but they were having trouble yesterday getting the headers aligned properly. I will finally get it back on Monday. At least I get it back in time to run the Texas Mile in March.

Anyway, I think if you are in sport plus the rear spoiler deploys but not the front until you exceed 75mph.

Wonder if there is a way to wire a separate switch for the back. I like the look of the rear spoiler extended but hesitate not to damage the front. I hope there is a solution for this.

I wonder if there is a dedicated fuse for it?

I lowered my car 30mm. Time for some at Champion to come up with a solution!

Raise it back up?

Check out the manual and see if it has it's own fuse circuit or relay.

There is probably a push in connector for the front spoiler electronics/air pump. Perhaps a plug in type resistor doohickey that plugs into the front spoiler control wire plug. This would be similar to the Corvette CAGS Skip Shift Eliminator, which is a stock Corvette (CAGS) thing that forces you to shift from first gear to fourth gear in certain low rpm conditions for better fuel economy. The Skip Shift Eliminator prevents the CAGS (computer aided gear selection) solenoid from forcing a 1>4 gear shift. A similar product for the 911 Turbo would fool the electronics into thinking the front spoiler is functioning properly, meaning extended, but it is not even hooked up. That way you wouldn't even have to mess with a dedicated button, and could just use the stock one.

You also include a cover cap for the spoiler side of the factory harness to keep dirt and moisture off the spoiler wires.

Sponsors.......here is your free product idea. I want a free sample for thinking it up!

No, from what I found out from the dealer tech instructors in Easton, PA, plus two engineers from the Germany factory, it cannot be done. Their concern: if just keep the rear spoiler raised, it impacts the aero dynamics. Told them still rather have it up, and I can determine when aero dynamics are required.
