All Laser Priority Laser Protection

For the gentlemen that installed the APL system; please advise if you found it working to your expectations? And/or if you would modify anything, if done again.

I did read the three excellent threads about various installations. I plan to get the APL installed next week, so was just looking for a reconfirmation. I will be using new V1 with the APL, at least for now.

Many thanks.

I like it. I haven't been hit with laser in the wild because the weather has been bad but have tested it with different laser mimics and it works as advertised. Compared to other systems, I like that you can configure it to your liking.

I've been hit with a laser once since I bought the car. The AL priority saved me. Worth the cost

What would you estimate, 90% of laser hits are from the front? For Turbo, don't there is a place to somewhat hide rear diffuser. I know K40 has the license plate one, but looks goofy, and don't trust its effectiveness.

I was told that the rear ALP are a pain since many automated cruise control systems set it off. I skipped the rear.

My rear ALP laser heads are on either side of the rear license plate

That has not been my experience. Never had a false hit in 3 months of use. Only hit was legit and it was from the front (cop hiding on the side of the Belt Parkway).

I use my 991 TTS about every third day on an 80 mile round trip commute on super busy NYC area highways (Belt Parkway and Southern State Parkway). If I were getting false hits from active cruise control systems I would be experiencing that.

My install was done at Detailing Dynamics in Mineola. The quality of their work is fantastic. They are not cheap however. But the install work is really great. Ask for Eddie there. He is one of the owners and specializes in that kind of work.

Thanks for the info. I've heard of them. I think they did the clear bra on the car when I purchased it from Porsche of Roslyn.

Yes that would make sense. A number of top dealers use them for that

Yup the first youtube video link was my ML63 save I can vouch for the flawless performance of the ALP..I have a 2f/3r setup in the MErc and 2f/2r in my ZR1..as we must defend against extensive rear overpass $$ enforcement I found it encessary for 3 rears on the ML..don't leave home without..( I also run a BEL STiR+ in the ML and V1/ALP in the vette..I have been targeted over a dozen times total and never yet been fined..caveat a thorough test is mandatory..I'm currently in the market for a TTS/GT3 and the first mod will be an ALP system..
Contact BRD to hook you up...fine vendor

What radar system are you using with the AL Priority laser defense system?
