Thanks everyone, every morning I go in my garage I think my car looks better than the day before. I drive everywhere. I drove it 300 miles to GMG motorsports and then over to Giac where I met Austin and Garret. A month ago I drove it down to Mojave 5.5hrs drive ripped off 193 mph run then drove back the same day. Super happy with my decision to purchase this car. Longboarder keep us updated on your next upgrade with Garret hope its ready by next 1/2 mile runs.

 

Hey Marc, good to meet you last weekend. I hear the upgrade will work on both the 997.2 and 991 Should be interesting to see how much more power is on tap for these cars. Garrett thinks quite a bit

Yes I have also been told by a prominent tuner that the turbo upgrade will work on the 991 TTS. I would love to get it as my GIAC Stage 2 991 TTS roars off the line at launch but lacks the top end power of similarly modded 997.2 turbos as I found out the hard way at a recent Driving Force Club runway quarter mile event. But I want my drivetrain to last 100k miles so I probably won't do the turbo upgrade and stick to just getting the Champion intercoolers when they come out shortly.

 

It's actually a fueling upgrade (hardware and software) that will allow for more top end power on the stock turbos. Boost on my car for example above 6k rpm is significantly limited not due to the turbos' running out of efficiently but rather due to hitting the HPFP limit. This upgrade is applicable to both 997.2 and 991.

Your 991 Turbos are still smaller than stock 997.2 Turbos according to GIAC/Champion but the 991 seems to launch better so it's a give and take.

 

Where is the fueling upgrade available? Who makes it and sells it? Power really drops off at speed so I would want this.

I found that the 997.2 turbo pulled away from mine at speed.

 

It's only a theory right now. Garrett the founder of GIAC says he's engineered his way around the fuel system and just needs a test car. I was going to give him mine but I'm likely ordering a 991 Turbo S so if I do that, I'll give him my car when it arrives.

Hey Marc does the Agate ever look brown in some lighting? I saw it a couple days ago on a cloudy day and there was no brown but I should have taken a better look at yours last weekend in the sun. I might be ordering a 991 and am highly considering Agate.
