HELP-Upper Spoiler Will Not Come Off!

Guys,
I have done a self installed AL Priority Laser Jammer with integrated Escort 9500CI radar antenna. Three laser diodes up front, and two for the back.

Everything is installed and working, with the exception being I have not installed the two rear diodes. Cables have been run to the back driver corner of the interior.

My problem is I cannot for the life of me remove the upper spoiler, so I can remove the lower spoiler, tail lights, etc, to complete the installation.

The spoiler is held in place in the front of each strut by a metal piece "U" channel that catches a small cross bar in each of the left and right side attachment points on the spoiler.

The spoiler strut covers come off, then a single Torx screw in the rear of each strut is removed, then the spoiler is supposed to slide forward and off, easy peasy. The problem is my spoiler does not want to slide forward. It is supposed to be an easy removal, but I cannot get mine to move forward. Tried a bit of force pushing forward, but don't want to break anything.

Has anyone else had this experience, and can anyone offer some tips to get this thing off?

Below are some pics showing the spoiler attachment hardware. These were done by another person, svoshop, and taken from the thread below, just to give proper credit. It is a great thread to bookmark.

Well, I finally got it to release. I had to give the back edge of the spoiler right behind each support strut a really hard whack with the palm of my hand, and they finally came loose. Harder than I really wanted to, but now I can finish my laser jammer installation.

I may see if the front attachment point can be smoothed a bit to make the spoiler easier to remove next time. Maybe a bit of Dremel work.

I hope putting the spoiler back on is not as hard as removing it.
