FVD Brombacher Exhaust + GIAC Stage II

just got my car back with the new FVD sport exhaust and GIAC Stage II tune with race mode switcher. also got the diverter valves and BMC air filter.

sounds much more wide open, but can't wait to get her out to the drag strip this weekend and put in some 104 and let her fly!

what do people think of the baffling sound every time you take your foot off the accelerator in sport/plus mode?

I never really was a big fan with the stock exhaust, but it was mild. now it's kind of annoying when you're in traffic and constantly on and off the accelerator.

I never run sport plus in town, just sport and I like the burbles and pops but if they are annoying you, don't use sport and they mostly will be gone but you will still have an aggressive sounding exhaust.

I love the pops and burbles. So much more even after I put on an FVD cat-delete.

but as WRS said without sport there's basically zero bang and pop so you can do that if you're in traffic or it's annoying you.

One question, how's the FVD+Giac stage 2 tune? Whenever you get the chance can you post(or PM) some acceleration vids? 0-240ish or 70-240ish in sport plus with wing down. Would really help me making a tune decision.

While on the subject, I notice wing down lip up makes a huge difference as you go faster, if you're straightlining only ofcourse.

Curious to know the purpose of the diverter valves?

They were recommended as a preventative measure because the stock ones are prone to fail with the increased power.

And cheaper just to do it when they're already in there for the exhaust.

LOL I have to find somewhere to get it up to 150mph first. A lot of great back roads around here for slalom but I haven't found any straightaway with good visibility to do that kind of run.

I am taking it to the drag strip on Fri though so I'll post my slips.

Hahah I pull 200+ almost everytime I take the car out here atleast once.

I'll take mine to the drag strip soon as the temperate drops below 30c and the winter comes and i'll post some slips when I do that.

Looking forward to seeing your slips shifter!

120 mph I get up to pretty often. I could make you a 50-120 video. 150 takes more planning mainly due to traffic.

Any acceleration video would be sufficient tbh, whatever you can manage I'll take! 50-120, 60-120, 0-150, 60-150 all's good. Just wanna see how it performs, if possible have the boost displayed, I'm interested in how high the boost can be raised on stock turbos.

At the track now. Just got tech'd.

Got my 104 fuel in there and activated the race tune.

Dropped the tires down to 35 to start.

Racing this WRX STi first run who has his name on his window, lol.

What's the DA? Where are you? They never start racing here until 7pm but if you are east coast that is only half hour from now.

Atlanta Dragway.

I think they start at 630.

I'm first in line anyway.

First runs were best.

Too many slicks out here rubbering up the track and it got really slick for street tires.
