My by design stage 3 991TTS was one of the fastest cars at the Slipstream event

Regarding the 997.2's. To date they have been faster than the 991 on the stock turbochargers. For a lot of reasons. So I think our car did really well. I also don't think you can compare mile per hour from two different days and events for a lot of reasons. Sometimes the cars run faster in certain runs than the posted numbers. And +1 regarding the videos. Especially the win only videos. But again not interested in comparison measuring anymore. I know the car kicks ***! As time goes on there will be more consistent evidence of where these cars sit. Disputes and opinions present or not
Thanks for the comments guys

I was just gutted that couldn't go and offer some friendly competition (both RobRob and RSW are class acts) as I think it would've been a real dogfight.
My understanding is that car had some faster trap speeds than the one that counted for the competition and I would love to have seen those.
I do think that some of the questions here have come because people don't understand why the car's trap speeds and time slips aren't being posted. I've actually received a number of private emails and Facebook messages asking me that question (probably because I post my Timeslips when I do speed runs) and if I have any insight into it and I have no idea why they are not being posted. I do really appreciate the member who posted a pic of the official qualifying board results by Slipstream

I'm not diminishing anyone's results, as I've clearly stated I don't understand what a "win" constitutes.
However, you stated that the car "dominated" the field, when in fact, the only heads up fair race captured on video between the OP's car and another Porsche shows the 997.2 winning by a convincing margin.
Not taking anything away from the OP, his car, or the win at this event, and I apologize for derailing his thread. I am told Rob is a really nice guy and was very humble, which is clearly shown by his original post. However, all you fanboys FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE DEBATE need to just chill out and cut the s*!t with all the calling out and trash talking. It's getting ridiculous and making it so unpleasant to be involved in the conversations any more.

One day the drama will stop. I think there is definitely some aggressive stuff going on and people are human. They respond. So it's a vicious cycle. It started I don't know when but it's not necessary I agree. I'm so tired of it also.
Some guys have constant Timeslips and cameras and all that good stuff and some guys just don't. I don't think anyone was trying to hide anything. You can see by Rob Rob's post count that he gets on when he can LOL! Again Rob I really appreciate the support and you sharing it with us that you love it. That's what really matters here. Thank you for posting the board by the way SRT. That was helpful. But again I mentioned before there's a lot of fast cars out there. It's not going to be all figured out in one month. Speaking for myself the stage III just came out. More and more kits are coming together around the world and being Cobb tuned. More results will come. But it's sure is hell not when I'm in this for, to look over the fence and argue. And I know my customers aren't either. Some are just responding to the constant drama. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't appreciate the circle jerking and aggressive demeanor.

Kudos to Cobb for delivering a great product and for putting up some stiff competition...they've certain motivated us, but as of right now, someone else still wears the crown. And for the record, don't make the mistake of assuming that we're finished with this platform at Stage 2+. Just because I don't post everything we're working on, doesn't mean there isn't a lot more coming down the pipeline. There's a reason why we're pioneers on every new 911 Turbo platform.
Market share based on results? Well, when you can show me a Cobb Stage 2 or Stage 3 car that can beat the 10.2 1/4 mile record (in the US) that the GIAC stage 2 car holds, or one that can trap a higher verified 1/2 mile speed then the GIAC stage 2....then I'll "fear what's here and coming". But for now, the proof is in the pudding as they say.

All I will say is that it will come. Going after a 10th or two takes time. Not 1 shake down. It never has. Then there's tires, conditions, blah blah blah. The East Coast cars on BOTH sides have yet to go below 10.3. So many variables. As a prediction I place the By Design Stage 3 at 10.05 - 10.2 in the forum of 1/4 mile results without super prep and all things considered. Other measurements will make other attributes shine.
Tom, we have a "mop" in the closet too that we have been working on
And no it's not an easy feat guys. The Cobb AP3 has made it happen overseas but we want it here and soon! If everyone can be cool we will all have lots of fun!

And that was almost a year ago, on regular Stage 2.

The Ekanoo car...well, definitely fast. But still clouded by some controversy about the track, the setup, etc. If that car would duplicate its results at another track or the same setup on a car in the US...well then, I'll bow down and give a congratulatory handshake.
. Hopefully once our big-turbo'ed car comes back from SEMA we can take it up to PBIR for test/tune night and get some times as well.
Also, some clarification about the bracket racing at Slipstream: It was a BLAST and, in my opinion, setup more for fun than anything else. There was a 10 mph window you had to hit the cones at (thats a large range!) and, not everyone played fair. I, for example, made it to the second round of trials, but was then beaten by a VERY fast (and cheating, IMO) mustang cobra who was obviously there to win...putting the rules (and honesty) to the side. He hit 160mph traps....10mph faster than he was hitting all day long....it was said to have +800whp.
Tuner vs tuner? I could care less....I'm there to kick *** and take names....which I did. Oh...and have fun!!!!
