My by design stage 3 991TTS was one of the fastest cars at the Slipstream event

True, people were taking pictures of my car and oohing and aahing it, not so much the GTRs.

Doesn't mean anything until we can get more fuel into the cars, which people are already working on.

I am pretty sure longboarder means the feud of who is the fastest/baddest DFI turbo 911, which has been plaguing the forum lately. I don't think he was marginalizing how fast these cars currently are. Whoever figures out how to increase the fueling wins and will be on another level.
Everyone is low 10's at mid-130's there are variances at every track so really who cares if someone if a fraction of a second or mph quicker somewhere else. At this level our cars are fast and fun. But the fact remains that we are at a wall. A very significant wall. But if/when the fuel system is properly addressed I think we are going to see stock turbo 3.8 DI's hitting 140mph 1/4 mile traps in the United States and 1/2 mile traps in the upper 170s. That's another level entirely to where we are at today. On stock turbos and dialed in correctly (low mid-range boost settings), will hopefully continue to be bullet-proof reliable and just easy to drive on the street and track as they are now.

Just kidding everyone

That's true, but pretty close to impossible to attain as well. Even if price stays at the approximate MSRP of 400K or so, they're only making 200-250 / year for 4 years. I am going to try, but am not keeping my hopes up.

Our cars will certainly get a lot faster for those of us willing to do the VTG turbo upgrade but even that has a limit due to fueling and PDK limitations. I am not willing to put in water/meth injection to go faster but would be willing to get bigger VTGs and be able to run E85 or better when I want to.
