Shift Sector- Results are in!!
Congrats to White991TT on the runs, and to Sam for setting up the car quite well! We love to see some good competition as it's exciting for the platform and really helps it advance so that you're able to go out and crush other non-Porsche models.
Mark, glad to see you were able to get your launches sorted on on Sunday and get a great trap speed, despite that head wind. Also glad to see you had some fun smacking around Ferraris and McLarens.
I was very bummed that I wasn't able to make this event, but will be at the Red List 1/4 mile in December and at the April 2016 Airstrip Attack. Hope to see more of you out there!

We are all coming together to the same page now. Things happen and people get flared. I believe that there is always two sides to the story and two lanes in the road. Everyone reacts to something. I don't think any of us will just go and cause a problem or flare up for no reason. But I think we will do just fine. Good competition kept fair breeds innovation. Like one of my old friends used to say nine wheel horsepower on two different cars across the country means nothing. Could even mean a fart in the wind LOL.
As for the warranty, we are all big boys and we're playing with big toys. Big thumbs up to champion for being able to offer something like that. For those people whom it works for it's quite a luxury. It also explains the confidence in the product. I think all of the big players in this game have that same confidence or would not be around. I don't think there has been any catastrophic failures on these cars in the past few years and hope there will never be no matter where you go to get your work done. Confidence and reputation or key.
John, the issue with having so much torque is putting it down on the first half of the track. It absolutely helps from A-Z. But once you start getting into high speeds, aerodynamics and engine dynamics horsepower is what carries you down the back half of the track. With traction our cars will do even better. The more torque the better it will get with traction. For example, on this platform even with big turbochargers I don't think anyone is going to get into the nine second territory with street tires. If they did it would not be a replicatable. This is a whole new game at the nine second level. Wait to get it done in the US with a car that can be driven every day!

Being an outsider but reading all these threads here are my two cents.
Now having said that, as a potential customer is what does make the choices easier and I think should happen, the actual companies should just stay out of the fray. It is the internet with a bunch of car enthuiasts comparing who's is bigger, not engineers or Porsche engine professionals. Many things are not always as they seem or neccessarily the truth, lots of emotion and speculation. When the companies come on here and don't just let the chips fall they have the serious potential of turning away future customers.
I sure enjoy the entertainment.
- By far some of the greatest reading and entertainment.
- You will NEVER solve the who is better, never, ever as long as you have two, three or more capable company's.
- The competition is awesome and getting more folks into the mix only benefits us end consumer.

Aside from the "entertainment", you can see how a tuner/vendor handles themselves during heated debates and discover a lot about how they will handle you as a customer. Imagine being on the other side of a transaction that maybe didn't go the way you expected. How will you get treated? How soon will you be answered? Etc. I've learned a lot this way as most times a vendor's behavior on a forum correlates to the way they handle your business. Not 100%, but pretty close.
Just food for thought..
Carry on...insert popcorn emoticon here.
Totally agree and what I was trying to convey. They do run the risk of potential hurting a future sale though. That's all I meant. Don't take offense. I was in no way, shape or form telling them or suggesting they don't have the right to chime in even if they weren't paying vendors. Say what you want, it is the internet.

Trying to trim down, have to stay away from the popcorn for a bit haha
Agreed on this as well. I think tuners should jump in here to promote and/or defend their company in a professional way(I don't think they start throwing elbows but for the most part we don't see that on this forum). Many times they can provide an explanation that one of their supporters may not be privy to. They also have a right, as sponsors who use this as a means of supporting themselves and their families, to defend their livelihood.
