I probably did have meth but it we never used higher then setting #2 until it was tuned by rob. Hell, I can't remember much from a year ago. However, I have a plan in place and hope to hit the 180's soon with just bolt ons! More to follow....

 

180s with bolt ons without a PDK or engine build? Wow. I would think you would need to move away from VTG's and go to a billet wheel like the kind Emre is using. I would think you would also need a fueling upgrade to hopefully be able to run some ethanol-based fuel. You would definitely need water meth.

You are on target. Will have to see where the PDK slips and back off the torque. Vtg's are out and secondary fuel source is a must. E85 and if I need to upgrade the PDK, then it will be done!

Sam has posted that they are close on the PFK upgrade

There are posted about GIAC developing a secondary fueling system

You will likely need a billet wheel to achieve the power you will need to hit 180s

I am just happy someone in our ownership community has the means and the will to do this

 

I really don't know why you say things like this. How many times have you been to a shift sector half mile event? Do you speak to the participants? How do you know I don't use a vBox? Wait a minute...you do know I use a vBox at these events because I used to post results in the 997 forum and you would even comment in these threads.

Plenty of other participants use the vBox as well. I guarantee that Anthony doesn't post a timeslip without backing it up with his vBox in fact Anthony has a 227 timeslip but called bull**** on it and rightfully posted his vBox result of 219.

 

Hey Long I'm a big boy, your comment in my thread about "having vbox number" to verify the miles because is not legit only with the mesures of the event is lame, if you don't like that I brake the record with ByDesign and COBB just say it straight and with no BS... Like with your 997 go and put everything that Champion and GIAC can sell to your 991 and try to beat what most of the stg 4 are doing (1/4 mile, 60-130 & 1/2 mile)

Webcar, this is Scott's thread you shouldn't be thread-jacking. And in my opinion you should be hitting 170+ you have upgraded turbos. I never said I didn't believe you I simply asked for a vBox. If you don't have one fine just say that.

No problem. Congrats on the half-mile record. Looking forward to seeing if it falls at shift sector. Lots of upgraded turbo cars coming from what I hear. Love watching the performance envelope get pushed and pushed

Thanks! At 42 seconds and 1:45. Look like my car won the first race and lost the second race at the end after taking a big leap. It's after 120 mph that you really really really feel the need for much bigger turbo's.
