Question Tuning 991 Turbo S Help

Hey guys, just took delivery of a new 991 Turbo S. I want to tune this new one like it did with my 997 Turbo. I am planning on doing exhaust, headers, upgraded intercoolers, ecu custom tune, air filter, etc.

The set up I have thought about would be:
Cargraphic exhaust with 200 cell cats(unsure of sound level and flaps or no flaps)
Cargraphic headers
Intercoolers (Champion or AWE)
BMC Air Filter
Cobb Tuning
Possibly IPD Plenum and Y-Pipe(unsure would like your thoughts on these)

This is merely an initial thought list, any recommendations would be very helpful.

Congratulations on your TTS! One thing to think about is your end goal. I think exhaust would be a good one to take reviews and online videos into your consideration. Sound is so subjective so as much input as you can get will help. You can do some searches on exhausts. The Cargraphic is a great product and has a growly sound. Depends if you want something growly or smooth. The IPD products work great for most especially using the access port. There are mixed opinions on headers but they're also different techniques on the header designs. I'm sure lots in the community will be able to provide you some personal experience information. Intercoolers are a big one to be able to take the car one notch higher and we have some billet units as well. You will be very shocked at how much power you can smoothly get out of this car. If I can be of any assistance and help out on any of my lines are always open. I work with pretty much everyone on your list!

Cheers

I am running
Kline exhaust, headers back, Kline has equal length headers.
By Design Intercoolers
BMC Air filter
IPD Y Pipe
IPD Plenum
Cobb with By Design Stage 3 Tune

I could not be happier with set-up, zero exhaust drone and incredible power.

In general my belief is that in terms of best bang for your buck power gains from mods they are

1. Tune (GIAC and Cobb are the big US players who offer flash tuning -- I would never get a piggyback where a flash is available)

2. Exhaust (high flow cats or even better catless) (so many good options such as Europipe, Tubi, Kline and GMG)

3. Bigger Intercoolers (Champion, AWE and ByDesign are the big US players)

4. Upgraded turbos (right now ByDesign is the only US game in town of which I am aware with Champion's still under development); and

5. Water-meth injection (I will never put this on my car but there is no question it offers gains. If I did it would be Aquamist).

If you have questions on a flash please let us know. We offer around the clock service so if you need anything let us know.

We have the fastest 991's in the world so there is no need to look elsewhere for a tune.

Thanks for the input guys. I decided to work with Sam@ByDesign. Decided to go with:
Cobb AccessPORT
Kline 70mm Catless Exhaust
Kline Headers
Intercoolers
IPD Y-Pipe and Plenum
Eventually Turbo upgrades

I am going to do these in stages through the spring and summer. Should be a fun experience. Working with Sam@ByDesign has been a great experience so far.

Great choice and welcome to the strongest most competent team in 991TT ownership. Sam has both a wealth of knowledge along with unparalleled access whenever you may be in need. In my opinion, a value that outweighs any potential purchase you could possibly make with him.

Platform is a beast, enjoy!

Great choice. Best in the business and you will not be disappointed in the result. His cars are eating up the competition.
