Shift S3ctor Rules Clarification... This is good!!!
After I busted my rear driver side axle from pulling the front wheels up at RedList I got a taste of breaking stuff on this car. And it wasn't a big deal at all.
Maybe I decide to turn it up. Dunno yet. Putting a rod through the block sounds more expensive than $580 for an axle installation. Not sure I'm ready for that type of commitment though. But it would be fun to see a factory stock turbo 911 running with upgraded turbo 911's

Adam, I think it's the mystery that's just leaving you open. You have always been so sharing of your journey with the car as has everyone else. Mixed signals are not your usual thing. It is or is not x, y, z you know what I mean? Sure that would be nice! So is that your goal? Or maybe? Or see what happens? Guys who hear it will wonder if you put it out there. Drama and competition aside we are deep down just enjoying the P-Cars. But either way, good luck and have fun!

wow I'll take that as a compliment! Tell you what, at Shift Sector I'll let Sam look at my car for as long as he wants with a floor jack to see if there is anything that I have besides what I have always represented:GIAC tune
BMS filter
IPD plenum and Y pipe
Champion Intercoolers
BBI exhaust with two FJS cats
meth
and my new fuel system
That's it. Nothing else. Hell, even the diverter valves are the original ones that came with the car new. Just like the factory stock turbos. Never touched. 38,000 miles.

No mystery except that the new fuel system gives me the ability to go well beyond the previous limits of the car. The progress is posted in the 997 forum. Now, if I insist that I want ~700 wheel for Shift Sector to get the highest trap...it's possible...and it's possible that the motor will blow too. I'm not ready to blow the motor. Getting the highest trap is not that important to me. As we have discussed before, Shift Sector is a race. And I like being the underdog. Beating a car to the finish line that traps higher than me is fun. It's what I have been doing for years. And will be my goal this time around as well. I can't beat my opponent if my motor blows. So the plan is to keep the power at a reasonable level...similar to where it was before the new fuel system.
As soon as I have good data on my fuel system with the type of fuel I'm running and the dyno results, it will get posted. But Shift Sector is for testing the functionality and reliability of the system and I will be logging and then go back after the event for more fine tuning. So likely nothing will be posted until well after the event.

Just like I have let BBI do. Nothing to hide

Better clarification. These motors can take a lot and E85 is bliss for this type of thing. So that will be great to see. You see what I mean about being open to drama...
For example we are going for trap. To define the stealthy Stage 4 (with the 65mm stock housing) power kit's performance in a 1/2 mile distance on race fuel. Also to back up E's 173+. When we are ready with the fuel upgrade we will run the larger set up and see how much we can ring out of that turbine!
Your word is your word for me bud! See you out there!

Thx gents...I'm not used to the red wheels with the yellow calipers...I'm told it's a Porsche "thing" but all I see is McDonalds.
The car needed something more bling. Not sure red is the solution but I can always get them powercoated/painted later. Chris are you going to join us?!?!?!?! Would be awesome. They are r888 tires by the way. This is a pic with 245/325 Michelins which looks better:

I see what you mean now about McDonald's haha
Yo bro. I'm likely not going to be able to get out for the event because I had a work obligation already lined up but my car should be there. Trying to see if I can get someone to represent me at work because I really would like to get to SoCal and the actual event so I can meet a bunch of you guys already. Aside from being part of a "proper" event like shift-s3ctor I would like to check out some of the shops and hit the canyons. If not this time then definitely before the year is up

Dinner and drinks sound good or this invitation only to people that have cars over 600whp lol
Chris to bad you cant make it hopefully the next one. But the good news is I'm available to pilot that beast for you if needed lol, as I have no other improvements on my car since last shift sector so I already know what my car will run. GIAC/Champion are you listening?

We'll probably hit the track next week when the weather is warmed up to get past that 138mph trap.
Curious if you have seen this before....where boost and torque was climbing very rapidly - from zero to 32psi in an instant with these small factory stock turbos. And before it gets to peak boost its starts spinning tires on the dyno. And it's not like I have crap tires - I'm running R888's.
The 997.2 turbo is larger than the 991 turbo so it's capable of more boost. I see over 30psi in the mid-range on my boost guage.
