Shift S3ctor Rules Clarification... This is good!!!
Probably a stupid question, but would it be worthwhile to swap out the 997.2 turbos into a 991?
Roger that...loud and clear. We're just finalizing the last bits of our upgraded VTG tuning, and will DEFINITELY have the package in your hands before the April event.
We'll probably hit the track next week when the weather is warmed up to get past that 138mph trap.

wow I'll take that as a compliment! Tell you what, at Shift Sector I'll let Sam look at my car for as long as he wants with a floor jack to see if there is anything that I have besides what I have always represented:GIAC tune
BMS filter
IPD plenum and Y pipe
Champion Intercoolers
BBI exhaust with two FJS cats
meth
and my new fuel system
That's it. Nothing else. Hell, even the diverter valves are the original ones that came with the car new. Just like the factory stock turbos. Never touched. 38,000 miles.
Adam, if Sam wants to check out your car that's ok... But your car is not the almighty .2 because you are a cool dude with a nice fuel system in his car LOL... Stock turbos can't go to 32psi with just a better fuel system, the are to small to achieve those kind of psi
But hey, if your want to play that game go ahead and play it with other "giac" pal of yours
That is definitely something I could do since it is far enough away to plan. My car will be home at that point but the experience will still be cool!

We've already beaten 138 mph trap in a .2 a long time ago.
991. Last week we hit that while testing our VTG's, but the ET was crap. The track conditions were terrible since it was about 45 degrees out. We couldn't do better then 1.6-1.7 60'. The car would just spin the tires all the way into 3rd gear.

It's more fun when you have a good competition like you guys
We've been testing them for a while. But as most people know, when we release our packages we try to get the most performance possible with regular fuel, no meth. I think we've finally found a good power level that we're happy with on pump gas and race gas, so we should be back at the track doing some more testing when the rain stops.

Do you have any V-Box numbers yet?
With all due respect my friend....if your car is running only race gas, no meth, and you were able to go 170+mph in the 1/2 mile....then your tune is definitely not conservative. If your car is making the same power level as the last time you posted dyno sheets, and you're still not using meth....then it's some kind of miracle that you hit those speeds in the 1/2 mile.

conservative is a relative word... If you have more to tune (not just agressive timing and more boost) you have a consevative tune because there are more tables to "twick", how much will go up in whp and torque with does "twicks" you will see soon enough
COBB is putting a lot of time and effort in the 991 and 991.2 so for sure will be more records broke in the near future

Oh and I already clarify that my record was in a certified 1/2 mile runway, but don't worry, today is 1/4 time
