Traded my i8 for a 991tt

I8
You seem to really hate the i8 so I'm curious as to why. Not reliable? Wasn't fun to drive? Lack of power? I ask because I am considering one...you mentioned the depreciation but that can be said of any 911 not named a GT3..991 Turbo's are a GREAT car and I love them but 2014s are falling fast and will accelerate even further now that the new 991.2s are out..just looking for some insights so I can either stop thinking about one and move on or be aware of whatever it was that caused you to sell.
Lastly, I know they are two different cars but how do you like the 991 Turbo now? That's another car I'd consider. Thanks in advance for any insights and enjoy that car!

Just sold my 12 year old BMW E46 M3 with 88K miles for 5K over KBB and 7K over what dealer would have given me on a trade in...

. The value is dipping so fast that eventually it will be under 100 K and there is not enough power in the car however the car is extremely comfortable once you are inside the door openings are a bit uncomfortable to get in and out you will get all lot of looks on the car people literally would tailgate me just to get closer to the car and you can see them videotaping the car and taking a lot of pictures but I buy a car for me not for what people think about the car I very very much enjoy my new 2015 991 turbo I am not considering selling this car at all if the value depreciates that's fine with me I will eventually pick up a Nother car probably Gr3 or perhaps A 2017 chewable S but to buy these cause you need to buy them after they are one year old preferably sitting in a show room they will discount the car approximately 20 to 22% that's where you make a great purchase
Thanks for the comments on the I8.... I was never hooked on this car but my wife likes the way it looks. They seem to draw a crowd when I see them in public...

My wife really wanted to test drive an I 8. I told her it will be under powered, and she would be disappointed!. Literally it is a BMW s idea of a Chevy Volt😱
Well now she driving a BMW M6 GC , tuned with Akrapovic catless exhaust, ESS tune and down pipe , Dinan air intake. Dynoed at the 725 crank hp.

I thought the i8 was a fantastic driving car (once you got yourself in ).
They wouldn't sell me one in the early days (too long of a list), so I bought an i3 and the 991 TTS. Weeks later they called to say that BMW had increased supply and that they had an i8 for me. Too late, but no regrets on my part.
I miss how exotic it felt, but I don't miss the mediocre acceleration and all the attention it got.

Msrp 163, 500. White on black... I had no choice ! It was a leftover on the floor ... I was lucky that it was even still available .. Sports chrono , PASM , lights, PDK ... The entire interior is black .. No stitching or any colors anyhere .. I am extremely happy with this car
