I never had a chance to run my car in a quarter-mile on a more sea level track with my GIAC stage 2 and exhaust set up only. I ran with the old set up on Albuquerque dragway on goldrush but the DA was like 9000 feet so to the best the car did was 11.2 which was one of the fastest cars out there and much faster than the stock 991 Turbo S that was also on the rally.

What I do know is that there were significant gains on the Dino from going from GX stage to the GIAC stage 2+ with intercoolers and that I pulled on cars at the driving force club runway event once I had to set up that I did not pull on before.

The one change I definitely did notice in dramatic fashion was in heat soak. When I just had the GIAC stage 2 with stock ICs I would only get one fast run and then the ECU would cut the power dramatically on subsequent runs which I discussed in prior threats. The GIAC stage 2, as stated by the tuner, really and forcefully shuts down power once IATs start to rise due to the stock intercooling which is not adequate for that level of tune. With the stage 2+ and upgraded ICs, not only do they turn up the power but it becomes repeatable without the big power cut on subsequent runs after the first one.

 

Agreed re 10.1s. To have a shot at those I would need the MTs on a set of dedicated wheels. That won't happen on street tires.
