Ran 10.50@133 - ALL STOCK except for a Stage ONE Tune from Sam ByDesign
Really
I'm with you WhiteTT and KAWilson...my mindset is 9's or bust which is not easy to do no matter the platform. But here is my thinking/approach: I want to run 10.0's on stock P-tires, no meth, no race gas and stock turbos. Some of my local buddies think I'm crazy, but others are on board. I think it is possible with this 2016 TTS P-car

I was just talking about this thread.
Nice run E-Gear... Everybody in this section knows that if you want to "break" records (personal or global) the way to go is with ByDesign/COBB combo.
Like you said, some people didn't believe that Nigel could break the 175 mark at the 1/2 mile, and he did, and when everybody said well "that's it" I made a world record run of 177mph in th 1/2 mile... What's the secret??? ByDesign/COBB combo but shhhh don't tell anybody
I know for sure that your gonna achive your goals, because you have the right tools

You are so dead on my brotha... that is why I was so pissed after that run; it was there!
The launch felt really good, the grip off the line under the nice rubber patch that truck left behind was my money run, but the nannies were not having it due to higher ECT & Oil temps and I'm sure high EGT's as I rolled down the track.
I called myself pushing the car, and guess what: the damn e-brake kicks on the second my door opens even with car in neutral and accy's on. One of the reasons why I am coming back with helping hands...they can push me as I sit in the car when waiting times in the lanes are long.
Yeah man, you know how some of these track events can be, but it was a nice little blast for me nonetheless. The car really stuck out like a sore thumb that night, but things should be better in two weeks...a true Test & Tune night and track will stay open until 2AM.
Thanks,
E-Gear

Thank you Web...congrats to you as well and your amazing run. Dayum man, 177 1/2 mile is freaking fast!!!
Yeah, people are going to hate/diss and so on...I am noticing something though: I'm noticing where most of this diss/hate is coming from and which camp they represent. Oh well, all folks like you and I can do is keep breaking/making records thus pouring extra sugar into the hate Kool-Aid.
I will try my best to achieve my goals and share failures and successes.
I am also aware that many P guys are not really into drag racing, but will do my best to represent the brand in that capacity.
Special thanks to Sam@ByDesign and COBB for stepping up and willing to assist me.
Thanks,
E-Gear
E Gear, I beleive your thinking is like mine. I am not committed to any company or specified package. My goal is to think, research, and implement my ideas. I had some Champion hardware, Cobb, and even worked with an LS team. My goal is to go faster and my setup is unusual in the TTS marketplace. I'm still learning, and will continue to try new things on the TTS. People tell me it's impossible to get into the 8's but I beleive differently. We will see and keep striving for your goal!
Also, good run!
Sam!!!!! I need the turbo!!!!!!!! Getting close to VA and need a tune and some adjustments to the nitrous...

Thanks Jeff.
I like your racing flava approach...I too like trying things while keeping it all safe and reliable.
Go for that 8sec slip brotha...that would be HUGE!!! Heck man, even many of the fast Corvette racing guys will have to stand up and applaud. 9sec anything is fast...but 8sec...that's stupid fast. LOL
Thanks,
E-Gear
Congrats on the great progress and thanks for sharing. Pushing it, then putting the information out there helps the platform evolve and keeps the rest of us motivated. Looking forward to hearing about your next trip to the track.
Thanks sista
