Outrageous acts of fraud are not going to be swept under the rug. He is getting the public hanging he deserves (anonymously of course).

Agreed. I have had private messages from people complaining to me that they bought mods based on these false Timeslips. That is poison of and should not be tolerated. That kind of conduct destroys the integrity of the forum.
The Moderators of this forum are very reasonable people and probably the least heavy-handed moderators of any of the forums in which I participate. They tend to let the debate flow freely so nobody's getting banned because they exposed E-Gear's fraud.
But I can't imagine not banning the person who committed the fraud and induced members of this forum to make mod purchase decisions based on his lies. I can't imagine anything worse on a car forum than that. If he is not banned to me it is a license to fanboys of tuners to misrepresent in order to steer business to them. As I have said Enrique got banned for doing something far far less (Constant bashing of one tuner and extolling another ad nauseam -- not the best conduct but certainly not deliberate fraud).

I believe the main purpose of this forum is the free exchange of information that is most often beneficial to us all...but...once in a while we get a poser or an outright scammer that contributes nothing and in fact can cause some harm...in this case there is no question regarding the vendor involved....Sam does good work and is an honorable man...so...what about banning the poser? For now, he is finally making a positive contribution to the forum by demonstrating to all how easy it is to fake your entire resume if you wish...members should be aware of that whenever they are dealing with someone they don't know personally....so, chill for Pete's sake...the only harm is the false claims that might lead someone to think they could do the same...no one that has built or raced these cars (996 or 997) believes you can get in the 9's without some serious work or some skill with Photoshop.

It's sad to see the amount of negativity that comes from a forum that provides us with so much good first hand knowledge. Such is life!
Rich people poor people and everyone in between lie and mislead us everyday. This should be no shock to anyone, but understandably upsetting.
The guy has been properly called out and a very clear message has been sent out loud and clear so let us try and move on to something positive.
If anyone can get us into the 9s it will be Sam. He's a true class act and I'm looking forward to future results from all you hardcore gear heads.

It will be quite a feat to get somebody into the nines without turbos but I think it's doable with a meth kit. Jeff has gotten there on stock Turbos and nitrous if memory serves me right.
