Ive got some Great News from shift sector Ive set a personal best fast MPH all with at least a 15mph head wind. More details to come after tomorrows event I will explain in detail.
Hey MB, I thought you hit a brick wall and were just going through motions repeating results event after event with your Stage 2+ canned set up. What did you do to break out?
Slipstream racing events is having their half-mile runway airport races in July. Check out their website. Public registration begins May 3. The runway is terrific located near State College Pennsylvania about four hours from New York City.
This is the only such event in the New York City area or in the greater New York City area
Correct that is May 7. I will be attending that. But that is about a quarter mile roll race down the main straightaway at Pocono Raceway. The slipstream event is a true half-mile runway airport race
Friends of mine run both events. Both are great but are different.

As you all know I have been stagnant with the same set up for awhile so I decided to change things up and I gave Sam a call I am proud to say I am now part of the Sam By Design/Cobb Team. I called Sam up on Tuesday told him what I wanted to accomplish we came up with a plan. Cobb Accessport with stage 3 software on my existing set up, With a Stage 4 ordered and waiting to being installed. Sam/Mitch overnighted the AP I did the install Wednesday night Datalogged on Thursday and Sam went over the logs and sent a custom tune right back for what I was running which at the time was a blend say 97-98. Drove up to Coalinga Friday night burned all my mix in the tank and poured in MS109 and data logged late friday night. Sent that info over to Sam and at 12:03 AM I received back a custom tune.Saturday Morning I installed Tune and went to shift sector.
There were really strong head winds the whole day I checked the weather and 20mph winds were reported all day long see Video I was next in line to race I ran a 164.35 on this run I can guarantee you a couple of mph were lost on this run my best was a 164.47 I ran these speeds both days. My car ran really strong I was running stock P-zeros, ( I would of ran better tires if I had the time to swap them out you see I was planning on not going if I didnt have any changes to my car ) I couldnt use launch control all the extra torque played havoc with the PDK and the P-zeros so I just rolled into It and manually short shifted the first couple gears and it was a ride second gear lit the tires up all the way until I shifted into 3rd felt like a rear wheel drive car man was it fun. Then when the car hooked up it pulled hard.My little mostly stock car still has more in it I received a stronger tune Sunday when I was at the track but had Tech issues with my wifi so I couldnt down load oh well next time
Highlights of the weekend I finally got revenge on the 991 tts PP black car Mousad he did out trap me 164 to 169 but I out drove him and beat him to the finish line. I finally Beat Adam he had his triple 8's on and I got him off the line and pulled all the way on him out ET and out Trapped him. Hes got it on Video he knew I was running strong and turned his inside camera to the front so please post Adam when you get chance so I can have a little glory.
There was also a 991TTS with awe cold air intake, intercoolers, IPD Y pipe and plenum Giac stage 2 plus tune we never ran but when I talked with him on Saturday the best he ran was a 159mph He couldnt believe I ran a 164.
All in all it was a great weekend I really want to thank Sam his customer support is second to none, he was there on the phone or email and or when ever and whatever I needed for the past 6 day 24hrs a day support. I also want to thank Mitch and Cobb Mitch is great he was there for literally 24hr support as well. This is just the beginning great things are just around the corner.

Congrats Mark! Stellar results. Clearly with no headwind you would have been more like 166-168 mph.
I do recall that you ran exactly the same trap 164.47 in the October 2015 ShiftSector:
Mark B. let me be one of the first to congratulate and welcome you to the team!
Constantly determining the best means to get faster. You'll be surprised at how shocked your competition becomes as you perform at these events. Making the impossible times and speeds look easy. It truly gets better and having your beast out there on the front lines doing battle makes team winning that much sweeter!
Your car will be a 175+ MPH killer very soon. Then the question is not whether you'll win or lose but who has the courage to line up against you and take a staggering loss!
The 991.1 TT cars will reign for a very long time.... Mark my words!

Thanks for trusting in us and I cannot believe how fast your car went. To this day I don't think I have seen a stronger stock turbo car. Couldn't do it without our team supporting the platform. Jon is the man and so is a Joe we wouldn't be what we are without them. Lots more to come in can't wait. If you need anything day or night please let me know.
Happy to have you onboard Mark! Your car has always been a beast. If you need anything you know we will always be there for you!
Sam does an awesome job, you will not be let down!
The only thing that outshines Mitch's passion for this platform is his talent and it really shows in the products COBB puts out as well as customer's praise once they make the switch.
Thanks again Mark! Excited to see what the future holds for your car!
-Jon
