2015 991 TTS Engine cut off issue

Starting about a month ago my car has been acting weird. On sport mode when I push it starting on first gear RPM hits about 5000 – 6000 and abruptly entire power to the engine gets cut off. Almost feels like you hit a rev limiter and then suddenly entire power is back on 100%. This is very dangerous since for a second car feels as if it is having a free fall with absolutely no power. When power is back on it stays on until next time this happens. So far noticed this happens when I am on sport mode and AC is running. I am sure if I take it to the dealer they can’t reproduce since it happens once or twice a dayat at most. No engine light on.

Anyone have or know of this issue please help.

PorscheRL is infamous around these parts
Have you had any luck with this issue?
I believe I have had the exact same issue on my stock 2013 991 Carrera S during a DE event.
At about 6000 RPM in third gear my car hit an "imaginary rev limiter". It was a very scary feeling having the car bog down unexpectedly when coming out of a turn at 90 mph. My car is a 7speed manual and was in Sport Plus mode with all traction control/rev matching on at the time and the A/C off. It happened only once, during the last run of a 2 day track event.
My father and I had been running the car back to back in different groups all day, so this was about the 20th 20min session the car had done over the course of 2 days.
We had no overheating issues, warning lights etc. and as amateurs we don't run the car nearly as hard as it can be.
I do have a video from a camera mounted to my helmet that shows the tach and exactly what happened. I will post a clip of it as soon as I figure out how to edit the video.

Please let me know if you found any answers for the reason why this happened.

Honestly issue disappeared completely without me taking the car to the dealer. My thinking was to save me a headache and take it if problem became lot more apparent. It has been two months with absolutely no issues.

Did you top off the oil before this issue? I remember topping off oil right before the issue happened.

Just saw this and I'm glad it worked out in the end. Feel free to reach out if I can ever help. Sometimes this could be from tire pressures or traction. Rolling diameter/speed/slip related issues.

Thank you! I have a lot of respect for you and due to my luck we are local. I am sure we will have a chance to work on some project together. When I get my Aventador roadster I will start modding my Porsche!
