Whats your best trap speed at the 1/2 mile tw?

How can we figure out how much hp is needed to move past the 193 top speed..
I've dynoed at about 550 on a mustang dyno....I'll have a thread comming up soon...I'm doing some pretty cool stuff and the headers that fabworx is doing there quality is insane...should pic up 20 and 20... But he's put turbo inlet in a wicked posistion were I should pick up some spool time..

I reckon its a gearing problem. That engine is really spinning above redline once in the 190s.

You are absolutely correct, with a 26.2" tire,(305/30/19) 3.44 final drive ratio, and .79 6th gear, you will need to spin that to 7000rpm to do 201mph. 194 is at the 6750 rev limiter. So the factory rev limiter stops, you at 194 with brand new 26.2" tires. Hopefully your newly found power doesn't drop off drastically above 6400 rpm. Here are the gear ratios and speeds, same as above

Looks like most stock turbo, head cam cars are running out of steam by 6500 or so rpm. At 7000 rpm , with stock turbos, I would guess you are blowing some pretty hot air. Larger diameter 27" tires would get you 200 at 675rpm, but a turbo and cooler upgrade would certainly keep the iat's down. Are the tipptronic and manual rear ring and pinion interchangeable? The tip has a much lower gear ratio, that is why I ask.

swap out those stock VTG's, have them worked or replace with a diff turbo, 2nd fuel pump and injectors and you'll bridge that gap...

Even a stock turbo can break 200mph with slight tailwind and downhill. A 550bhp tuned turbo can easily break 200mph.
I've run over 202mph and a friend over 205mph GPS verified within 1.3 miles airstrip. Pretty sure we'd hit 210-212mph if we had 2 miles.
