Decat Pipes on the Way
I was afraid this was case with replacement manifold for this car because technology has really advanced so much now on turbocharged engines to address lag and spool times....but nice to hear about experiences. Genuine cast design is most likely good as it gets for now considering technology advancements in creating shortest path possible from port to turbo to create instant spool...less lag etc. Interesting to know these stainless for this car don't last very long under stress but not surprised really. Thanks wrs. I will save my money.
Well the cats are off and the car is loud as hell, don't know what it would sound like with headers! I can smell a good bit of unburned gas when the car is sitting still so that's not great but I like the new sound at idle. The pops and bangs in sport are so loud now it's unreal, they are probably twice as loud.
The real test is tomorrow morning but right now, the butt dyno says 25-30hp and a lot more torque.
