Why are these tires the white unicorn?

Man, ive never had so much trouble finding and buying a set of tires. Today i was finally able to grab a set of:

Pirelli 325/25ZR21 P ZERO
Pirelli 255/30ZR21 P ZERO

I get that a 21" might not be the most common size but from what i see, this is a very popular size for 911 Turbo and Turbo S owners.

unless they are the new compound, why would you go with P Zeros?

So I recently started shopping for P101s for my '15 TTS. I spoke with my regional dealer, who definitely steered me away fro the 21" rims for this exact reason. Pirelli is the only one making this size, and there is not a steady supply. And once they decide to stop making them, you are screwed. As long as they make them, you have to pay what they ask.

I'm in a similar boat with tires. There are only 3 manufacturers of tires in my size and 2 of them are: Lexani and Lionhart..... no thank you. Pirelli Pzero Nero is my only "good" choice. [315/25/22]

I have some inventory left of the Continental 335/25-22. These are a very hard tire to find, if you want a set I have them available right now. They are brand new so let me know. It may be worth buying them as a spare set for when you will need them.
