Is the Shift S3ctor Event going to Live Stream?
Thanks my friend! It's a great drivers car and as about as much power as I can handle on a daily basis.
I hear from people who have owned almost all of them how quick these 488's are as well. I wonder if they have good days and bad days. It is new so software revisions are quite possible. I'm going to try to get out to the next event and hang out with all my boys. I really missed it. Hanging out with the family is pretty great but I was on the phone with five of you anyhow LOL!
We were hoping to see Vincent pass the magic 176 and break Nigel's record out there but his methanol wasn't working right. Still, 168 just about on race gas was pretty good!
Uri did great at 163 on my off-the-shelf stage III map.
Mike absolutely crushed it hitting 163 in his 991.2 with our exhaust system. He was a couple miles an hour faster than the other ones out there.
Adam, you definitely have the drag racing part down. You got those R888's hooking. Did you ever end up doing your seats. I'm trying to convince Vincent to do it but the turbo seats are so luxurious.
Mitch from Famous also had an awesome day. He hit 176 in the Lambo for the first time I think.
Betim belted out a 195+ in that 997! Wow!
Blackwell you know we're going for 180!
Congrats to everybody…Can't wait for the next one!

I thought the Stage III's were hitting 170 or close? Where those custom tuned Stage III's? Would be crazy to think there is 7mph with a custom tune, but E-Gear has proven there is 3-4mph in the 1/4 mile with his.
Hey buddy. Yeah the .2 opened up picks up 3 or 4 mph! Uri is running my off-the-shelf stage III map and it was his first time out there. Stock tires and mixed fuel for about 100 octane. He did really well. Average is about 164 or 165 for them on a full tank of race gas. I believe on Nigel's car with a slightly more open exhaust and custom tuning we did 167. That was the fastest so far without removing weight etc. Mark did just about 165 with just IC's and exhaust! But to get over 170 or even 167 you need turbo chargers and over 100 octane fuel.

Yeah Hamad's 997.1 was crushing it on such a simple yet effective combo of e85, stock frame 63.5's and a built tip.
Yeah the first day (Saturday) was the "Trap Speed" competition. A Lambo hit 164.6 to my 163.9 - cause I was lame and drove up Sat morning with a full tank of 91 lol. 2nd place on pump is cool I guess.
Day 2 (Sunday) I finally got through the 91 and filled up with MS109 and did a 167.4. On Sunday the highest trap speed exotics got to participate in the roll race competition in which I ran the 997.1 and pulled on it mid range on a perfect roll hit. So while my car makes less power, it is more efficient in the mid range. Here's a vid of the race:

Am I reading this correctly? Did a 991.2 with Kline exhaust, cats, headers but otherwise stock hang with a 991.1 Stage III OTS car? What specific mods did the Stage III car have?

Interestingly enough, I did run a Red 991.2 that was stock and finished by about 5 mph up on that car. I didn't get to run the 991.2 with the full system but it would have been interesting for sure. The 991.2's are fast, no doubt.
All that said, I know I left a lot on the table with the car by learning how to drive at one of these events, experimenting with a lot of different methods of getting off the line, and listening to Sam and Mark Blackwell (nice to meet you and your son Mark!). The next event I will be better prepared.
Yup, my fastest run was 163.755 and that was my last pass of the day with the car way, way hot. It basically took me most of the day to find any kind of consistency driving the car. Once I did, the passes kept getting quicker, my last 3 of the day were my fastest and that was not letting the car cool at all. This was on stock PZero's that are completely worn out on the back too, so traction was difficult to manage at best; but of course the same for everyone.

Yes I did the Recaro CS seats. Interestingly they aren't that much lighter than the stock heated/AC 14-way seats but they are a lot more comfortable, esp in Alcantara. I should have had Vincent in for a ride. A buddy with a GT3 is coming over today to sit in them to try them out. For the price they are amazing.
Yeah I actually dropped power down on the 997.2 (removed fuel system) and it was the perfect balance. Car just hooked and was like getting shot out of a cannon on the launch. My vBox numbers are unreal for a car with so few mods in 90+ degree heat. Was doing 10.2's in the quarter mile at 138 trap (139 terminal speed) on the vBox in the middle of the day 90 degrees on a ****ty surface. And it was consistent every run within a few hundredths. I'm going to have a hard time matching this car with my 991 even with the Tial 68s.

I developed a secret crush on your car seeing it in person and watching it dominate haha. Maybe next time I'll get up enough courage to go talk to her.
Shaun

Never got a clean run at Shift Sector but the car was quite a bit faster than it is today. It spun more on the launch but probably had a low 170 in her. But....got PDK and driveline errors though and I didn't want to trouble shoot so I asked GIAC to put the stock fuel system back in and give me my old tune back. I got new meth nozzles and I think it's a little quicker than before.
It's a project for someone else that has the appetite for a project like this. I'm not that kind of person.

Whats up brother - so the 997.2's have pretty large stock turbos like 61.5 from what I recall. I think the 991's are around 56.
Looks like your having an awesome time on your Cannonball run from your IG posts.
Cheers.
