Scott did you get your upgraded turbos yet?

 

Doing fine. I am back home from Tanenbaum. Flew back home from Havana on Monday. Still posting stuff on Instagram. It's all up on my Facebook page however. Facebook lets you post multiple pictures at the same time.

Cannonball was absolutely incredible. The amount of luxury, the beautiful hotels and so much was included. It was just incredible. Was composed of a lot of veterans of gumball 3000 and goldrush rally. And some from Corsa America Rally. Organizers deliberately kept it small to about 40 cars. It was very intimate and everybody got to know everybody really well.

 

And sometimes she's downright nasty

 

damn long you slayed that field. Your car is dialed in man! Half of those races looked like the other guy fell asleep at the start.

 

LOL - you just killed them LB. What's the performance difference if you let the trans shift itself?

 

What was the cool down time between those runs ?..those clutches musta been glowin

 

Thanks for sharing. You look so relaxed. Once you beat these cars are you slowing down or are you pushing all the way to the finish? Also is that the LC that hesitates right in the beginning getting traction or are you shifting into second that fast?

Also very surprised the GTR's that did beat you it was at the end and not very quick off the start. They do not start all that fast for having a great 0-60.

Well there was a couple where they did fall asleep I was like wtf

There's always some first timers out there.

The car will be a lot quicker and faster through the traps if I short shift. I let the computer shift 1st to 2nd but then I might take over and short shift 2nd to 3rd or may let the computer do it....but for sure everything about that gets short shifted.

I do it mostly on feel. I know at what point I can shift and achieve maximum acceleration. On most cars it's at redline...but this car has such a small fuel system that I'm out of fuel pretty quickly so I use my massive torque to my advantage and short shift the higher gears. I'm literally shifting from 5th to 6th at something really low like 5,000 rpm.

Zero cool down. After each race I just got back in line. Didn't even take a lunch break either day lol.

No slowing down! Every run was WOT through the cones. About 15 seconds after each run, I would receive an email with my trap speed. Pretty cool!

There is some wheel spin for sure the surface is bad. And that is what you are hearing. I'm probably in first gear for at least one second.

For the modded GTR's, they have a lot of power and the surface is terrible. They have the engine in the front not the rear like the 911. So even with slicks there is no way on this bad surface anything is going to beat a 911. For better track-prepped surfaces of course a GTR on slicks will hook and go.
