2017 Turbo - to Burmester or not?
Easy one to check out for yourself. Go to the dealer at night. Have them take the different cars out. You in one and the dealer in the other. See for yourself.
I've heard on here somewhere (yeah, just hearsay) that US regulations result in a situation where the LED and standard headlights have essentially the same output. Might be different elsewhere. Never bothered to verify. I'm getting them because they're standard equipment, and if they weren't I expect I would have passed on them.
I got the black ones though. I expect them to work exactly as advertised - the same thing except black and more expensive.

PDCC....more info please
Thanks guys, and yes, you've confirmed what I thought about the lighting....going standard as I did on my 50th Anniversary car. As to the PDCC another costly option and struggling there. Good input re it being a more enjoyable/comfortable ride if you have it...but wondering how NOT getting it would compare to my 50th with the sport suspension (forget exactly what that option was called) and if PDCC was an option on that car I know I did NOT get it. So, more commentary on the PDCC is most welcome...specifically given my experience and satisfaction with how my 50th behaves....or is there something unique about the Turbo set up that differ??
Here is my take on PDCC. Not worth the money for how I drive my car. At most it is spirited canyon runs and no track time or AX with the car.
Having said that in my humble opinion the PDCC seems to be an option that many want so for resale I think it is worth it. If I were to keep my car forever, no PDCC. Good luck in your research.

Great thread as i was searching for something like this for a while. I was always a little skeptical about the cost for an upgraded "factory" audio system but feel much better about it now. My car was just completed and is waiting the next vessel to Long Beach.

I got the Mark Levinson in my wifes Lexus...I have the Burmester in my TTs and I have the Harmon Kardon in my Merc ML63...I'd say HK for the win..I don't know if it's because of a larger listening area but it's certainly no slouch...and for the Mark Levinson..they best stick to ultra high end home gear..The Burmester is good...not great..I find myself constantly adjusting the set up never finding a day to day sweet spot..and the thing that irks me the most about it is it seems to change balance volume with different volume settings...set low it has a right front bias and if I adjust to even it out when I up the volume it becomes a left front bias..don't know if that's normal or an issue but I can say if you want to set up for a particular source (Cd/DVD say) and track it can sound VERY GOOD but change the file source and a reset is again needed..just my .02
Burmester is a must. I have the Burmester in my Cayenne and love it. But I figured I could probably live with the Bose in a 911. It only took me 2 seconds of driving a 991 with Bose to hear how terrible it is. It became a deal breaker after that.
PDCC is awesome as well. I don't have it in my Cayenne and never noticed. but after driving the 991 with it, I wish I had it in the Cayenne as well. it adds so much stability. but I drive all my cars like I stole them on and off the track. if you drive like a grandma, you probably won't care.
LED headlights are really nice with the auto-bright function. again, I don't have them in the Cayenne and after experiencing it in the 991, it's worth it. but if you don't know what you're missing, you won't miss it.

As for PDCC, I never turn it off. But my motto is, NO LAW AGAINST GETTING TO THE SPEED LIMIT ASAP
