Hey Rick, yes the access port will only log if it’s connected to the car. Do you have a different program right now? You can also run the access port and log a factory map at anytime for comparisons. Do you have a specific concern? Let me know if there’s anything I can help you with.

No specific concern at this time, but would like to get some data from some cars which don't have tunes on them but are running different hardware mods - some competitions for example need factory tune. I know Cobb can log the factory tune, but it needs to be installed on the vehicle to do this?

There really isn't another solution. We write our own tools to be able to do this and that is how the speed is the fastest around as well. Durametric has not been able to log anything it seems since the 997.1.

Hi Rick,
You can watch live data of various parameters on the PIWIS, but you won't have logging capabilities. So none of it will be saved to view later. The resolution of the PIWIS will probably be pretty low (5hz) while the AP will be more like 45-60hz.
