New owner of 991 TTS observations

This is my 3rd Porsche. I started with a C2S convertible in 2009, then a 997.2 TT convertible and now a 991.1 TTS convertible. I have only driven it a few miles so far, but it's my first PDK ad first car with 20-inch rims. Any thoughts on my observations are appreciated.

First, I notice a bit of travel in the gas pedal before the car responds. I'm assuming this is because it's an automatic. I haven't had a PDK, so maybe this is normal?

Second, the turn to lock issue is real I hear and feel strange things from the front wheels when I'm parking the car. I hope it's normal and it seems to be from what I have been able to find out so far.

Third (not the car, but the tires), the Pirelli P Zero (OEM standard for 2015 it seems) not nearly as sticky as the Michelin Pilot Sport tires I had on my 997.2 TT. The car breaks loose easier and more often. The four tires are brand new, so I'm not switching them out, but if I have the opportunity I'm going back to Michelin.

1st... Haven't notice, but I have a both the ECU and PDK tune ... if it bothers you that much give Sam from Sam@Bydesignauto. A tune will wake up the beast.

2. Normal, TTS all wheel steering.

3. Yeah the Pzeros suck.

Enjoy the car in good health.

solipsistik is infamous around these parts
I think the reason the throttle response is low is to save yourself from rocketing into a store window. LOL Yes, they require some input to get the car moving but you get used to it.

My tuner (Sharkwerks) accounts for the difference in turbo lag, I come from a 997.2 (PDK) Turbo and have a 991.1 Turbo, the change in car is substantial. Cobb is popular here, but I went with GIAC (996/997.2/991.1) since I trust Sharky completely. This may be a change you might consider, I am not interested in tuning my PDK, best of luck . . . KH
