Flat tire on CL wheel in the toolies
There have been posts nibbling around this issue. I'm curious what you all are doing to cure a flat tire in the middle of nowhere.
I bought the 3 pc breaker bar/torque wrench and carry it in cardboard tubes in the bottom of the trunk along with a plug kit and less
than 4 yr old slime. I've been smugging along thinking I'm covered. UNTIL I read that it is nearly impossible to plug a Turbo tire while
still on the car, especially the rears. Apparently it takes a lot of pressure to push a plug into a hole made by a small nail which can't be
done unless you have tire between your knees while pushing straight down. In order to remove tire we need the jack that isn't there. Do
any of you carry a small scissor jack or what do you do?? I'd prefer to not use the slime for the reason we've all heard.
