Official 2012 Porsche 991 911. Spy Shots, Renderings, Details, etc.
Glad I waited for the next generation
I almost upgraded my '06 997S to a turbo earlier this year but with the performance stats on the 998, I prefer it to the 997 turbo. Just keeps getting better! I can't wait to see one in person.

Some spy shots taken by a Dutch guy and shown on a Dutch website.
A couple of 991's were on a ferry from Goteborg, Sweden to Kiel, Germany. He managed to get a few quick shots, as they got covered by the test drivers in 10 seconds. They weren't very amused when he said to them: 'Nice looking car'.
Later in the lounge he overheard them complaining about adaptive cruise control not working properly when accelerating quickly.

Here's what I've heard lately:
new Carrera: 350 hp, 32 mpg on highway, 3.4 liter.
Carrera S: 450 hp, 3.8 liter.
Both get electric powered steering (which I'm not convinced is a good thing), PTV, limited slip, more use of carbon fiber underneath, wider and longer (more room in the interior), revised rear wing, 7-speed manual.
If all that is true, you can expect new 911 C2S to be upwards of $95k, base price.

they say that good things come to those who wait. well, im going NUTS sitting around waiting and driving around my pos camry. i really hope thats how the new c2s looks because it is SWEEET!!!
I heard that the 991 has a completely new chassis that gives it the ability to achieve incredible levels of performance. So much in fact that the 991 C2S is around as fast around the Nordschleife as the 997 GT3 is!!! The C2S will also achieve a 0-60 time in under 4 seconds with the help of Sport Chrono and PDK
