Reason to buy a 991 over a GTS
Here you go sir:

This source makes the claim. Also, I remember there was an article talking about that the 991. In it, porsche engineers claim that it can do anywhere from 7:50 to 7:33, depending on the set up.

I'm still considering trading my 09 C4S for a 991S... Apparently if I order it in UK and ship it back to Hong Kong. its close to 60k USD cheaper than ordering thru Porsche HK!!
But its still 40k USD MORE than what I paid for my 997.2 two years ago!

I think the biggest reason to get the 991 is missing from the above list. It is the longer wheelbase! Longer wheelbase gives much better handling characteristics to the car, better ride comfort on street driving, better performance on the track. As one analyst said, "the long road to making the 911 a mid-engined car has begun with the 991" The lengthening of the 991 wheelbase WITHOUT significantly increasing the length of the car allows for the engine's center of gravity to move forward in the car. This IMO will have a significant impact on driving dynamics.
The 991s gonna costs over HKD 2M with some option. How much you need to pay for the tax if you ship back to HK from UK?
I made the deposit last month and the estimated delivery schedule is around June/July next year.
