Thank u for posting all these great pics of the 991. Uhn it looks more like GT silver on atleast a couple of pics. Do you agree ? By the way I love the warmth of the platinum silver metallic. I in fact like it more than my GT silver :-(

 

Yap, big thanks to catchmyshadow for all the great pics. I had a chance to look at the two color samples side by side in one of the Porsche tent at Mazda Raceway yesterday, the new Platinum silver is a quite a bit darker compare to GT silver. It is the perfect colors for the car. My personal preference is the platinum silver.

Good point w00t... not really sure. I have not seen a lot of GT silver around to make a comparison but it really looks very similar to my PlatSM that I have. With no NBA games to watch, this forum has been my therapy.

Speaking of therapy I am actually going to a BMW ///M event in Spain on the 4th/5th of November, will report back on whether the new M5 matches the hype its receiving. Maybe you feel the same way but I don't think I could ever not have a 911 variant. I just did a quick spin to pickup something, parked the car and was all smiles getting out- its my drug.

When is it being released in Europe (Germany, etc)? I'm wondering when real customer test drives will begin...

But as no media have reported to have driven it as of yet (only passenger seat time), I guess we won't hear of any test drives until those articles start coming out.

 

Presentation will be on Dec. 2nd at the local Porsche Dealer here, but i guess some press dudes will get their hands on it earlier than that.

 

I ordered mine in white/yachting blue but the silver is real nice too and I may yet change my mind. The silver of course is $800 or so more and it would still go well with the blue interior and perhaps not show dirt as much as a white car.
