Delivery date is in Feb 12, though a more specific date is yet to be provided, which I expect they will give me later this month.
No absolutely no discount or any deal, have to pay sticker price. Dealer said they have no reason to offer any deals on the new 991. They've had plenty of deals going on the 997s.

This will be my first porsche. I currently drive a bmw 550i 2008. After placing the order, and I know it's too late now, but I sometimes wonder would a turbo have been a much better option if I could fork out the extra $30k? Pros & cons? One con would have been the much longer wait for a 991 turbo.

your 991 carrera will hold its value very very well till the next Turbo sees some daylight.
And if you think that your 991 is underpowered by then u could still switch to the new TT.
P.S. there is always a better, faster model in the pipeline but you live in the present and not in the future and that´s what counts!
