Inflatable spare tire - 991

I saw this as an option on the 991. What does it come with? Where do they put the tire and the wheel kit such as jack, etc...

It wasn't there when I did my order. I wonder if it is something that can be purchased later from the dealer?

I don't see it there now. Under what section is it?

I would expect to see it under 3. Options > Exterior.

It is on the page where you make the wheel selection.

OK, thanks. For some reason it is only listed as an option for the S and not the base.

I assume this is a spaces saver like that found in the 986/996? Some countries require a spare to be on all cars by law.

Having been seriously put out with the lack of a spare on my 987 in the past, I am going to ask my dealer can this be got for the 991 base order I have.

it has to fit in the front trunk. no where else on the car that it'll fit. it'll take about 5 inches of the trunk space. i think it's worth the peace of mind if you don't mind doing a spare change instead of waiting for a tow.

It has to go inside the car ... I know in my 997 if you are to get a flat the tire will not fit in the Frunk ... though my spare (which I beleive is a spare from a Boxster) does fit in the frunk.

djlod is infamous around these parts
If anyone is looking for a 17 inch inflatable spare tire for a 997 I have one for sale.
I recently sold my 2006 997 Carrera C2 thus I have no use for this spare tire.

Thanks,
David

I wonder if it is like this one, sold by Suncoast....

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...iorAccessories

Which would be one that goes in the back, not in the trunk.
