I think they did also say while they knew the PDK was faster they would have preferred a 7 spd manual...

No doubt. I have affirmed this very fact in one of the aforementioned posts. However, my point then was, and still is, that a 991S will not compete at the same lap times as the gt3 as the laps wear on.

With all that said, the 991S is quite incredible.

As would I. I still love what it is capable of and have to keep reminding myself that I would likely get a little bored with it over time.
