Too many nice wheel options

Is it just me or are there more nice options for wheels on the Carrera S than in prior years.

I am planning on ordering an Aqua Blue S but am having a very difficult time picking the wheels. I do want at least Platinum or black to hide some of the brake dust. I could save 1K by going with the base S wheels with Platinum finish rather than painted black or body color.

Opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Doug

I think if it was me, Id go for standard wheels from time of sale and spruce it up when you get it home with a set of nice aftermarket wheels. There will be a whole new can of worms in the 20"wheel department when these cars hit the streets.

just a thought

The Porsche choices are great. This is the first time I feel comfortable keeping my stock wheels on permanently. (sorry Mike)

EricP,
I have read all that you had went through with your C4S and I hope it does not happen to anyone else. You sold your 2011 because it was sitting in the garage not being used. What changed? Was it how hot the 991 looks that got your juices stirring again?

Cheers,
doug

Hey Doug -

It was getting my drivers license back after getting it suspended for repeated speeding tickets in my wife's SUV on our local toll road that got my juices going again.

That would do it. I think you may have a record in ordering three 911's in two years.
I know you too are a fan but I love the satin Black HRE P40's. Maybe thats the way to go for me.
Enjoy the wait...........again!!

Cheers,
Doug

Thanks Doug - I too like those HRE's. Just got news yesterday that my build date changed from Feb 14th to Jan 23rd - which is a bump up (sooner) which is good news.

I'll keep you posted.

I have been there before, I understand

as far as wheels go, when it comes you'll have the stock ones for the car, why not add in a second (aftermarket) option. I bet that 991 looks just amazing with all the 20" choices out there. I am actully excited to see what people come up with when they get the new car and choose wheels.

as far as stock goes, I really like the gt3 looking wheels and the ones you chose above. good eye bud. Cant wait to see your car. Bump up on the build date is nice also

good luck

Standard wheels and then upgrade to HRE. The P40 is nice but the new P40S is hotter:

Without a doubt, stock then go with aftermarket right after you get bored with the OEM look of the car. I think there are tons of companies here that can hook you up with something that looks good, adds to weight reduction and gets the overall improvement over OEM styles.
