991 Interior...
It's personal taste, and partly cultural, it seems.
Americans overwhelmingly prefer black interior on Porsches, while Europeans prefer tan (sand, luxor, etc.)
In U.S.A-- most popular is:
Silver/black interior
Black/black interior
In Europe:
Black/tan
White/tan

Instead of a creating a new thread, wanted to bump this thread to ask a question about the interior: I notice a big difference between the platinum grey interior in the configurator (much darker) than in actual pics (see link). Are people happy with the platinum grey and is it really that light a color? Also, the car I'm looking at is white/grey and didn't know if that blends well. I don't want to settle but it's one of the few white 991's available without having to wait until January.

Nice car,...but IMO a little on the bland side. White really matches so much better with a black, brown, blue or red interior. Just makes a nice contrast.
Platinum grey is very nice (medium in range) but suits a darker car such as dark blue, black, etc....
This really is not a purchase as you say to "settle" on,....if you can't find really close to what you want, then order and wait, like a lot of us painfully did.

Searching through Cars.com I found a fair amount of 2012~2013 white S coupes across the nation. Have you tried it?
Good luck with the hunt!

I'm not sure about the combination with white on the outside, though, and I'd at least be cognizant about the reflections you'll get in the windshield from the non-dual-tone dash! If I were you, I'd always chose the dual-tone.
i agree with ptarded. although mine is luxor beige i really love the two tone agate/pebble.
Have to agree...it's on my build for the C4s...a few ppl have them on their pcars...so I've been doing some searching to find it stunning both in the day time and indoors. The two tone is great for the glare issue some "light interior" ppl have been talking about because of the Agate Grey dashboard...but we won't know until we drive them!
+1 , but I like 2 tone interior.
Originally ordered Luxor beige for my agate grey. Switched to full leather black/platinum and haven't regretted it. Just ordered mahogany inserts for dash and recently installed a black leather console insert for the PDK surround
Sounds good...pics?
Love my Carrera Red full leather. it's my second one. it held up very well with the usage after years. that's one of the major reason i went with it again. not to mention it adds a more exotic flavor to the car.
I've had several different interior colors. My 997 is white with cocoa interior which I like because it still looks brand new even though the car is five years old. There is virtually no visible wear or discoloration. I wanted something lighter for the white Panamera, so I chose the luxor beige. I am very careful with it because it shows the dirt and use pretty quickly, although I still think it was the right choice for the car. The area of most concern has been the foot rest area. I have bought a dead pedal to put there to minimize the staining from my shoe.
