911 double, Boxter / Cayman down significantly. Buyers for those are probably waiting for the new one.

I think your correct.

New boxster looks awesome...at PCA meeting the other night it was a hot topic of discussion.

I thought they sell lot more Boxster/Caymans than 911s, as I see more of them on the road.... Maybe most 911s are sitting in the garage?

The new cayenne shape/design is very ordinary. The previous one looked better. Plus they have had quality and reliability issues and resulting bad publicity hurting sales.

The looks are subjective. And doesn't it have the same improved interior of the 991?

I have not heard of any major issues with the new model but I will admit I do not keep close eyes on it.

I test drove one recently before going another fun car route and was impressed with the power (an S) and refinement. IMO much better than the previous series.

This is a 991 forum so I won't go out on a tangent. I have also not followed cayennes too closely, but recently read about recalls where their headlights were coming loose.

True earlier models, but it impacts future sales negatively.

BTW, if ordering a cayenne I would recommend nothing less than a turbo and unlike the 911, PDCC would be a must.

i think the sales numbers of the Boxster/Cayman will increase rapidly when released.
Those will sell like hot cakes based on looks alone.
and if you buy a 911 you get it all. the best of performance with the best of luxury.
that recipe is really really hard to beat.

2 billion profit last year, Porsche is really pushing it!

I read that the lower Cayenne numbers were because of shortages, not lack of demand.

The Cayenne remains the most difficult model to get discounts on, if I am not mistaken.

They can't keep up - all we got was $1500 bucks off. They are expanding the factory but the Cayenne is still in short supply. I know for a fact they are losing sales because people don't want to wait and are going to the competitors.
